The AGE System is a system featured in Mobile Suit Gundam AGE designed as Advanced Mobile Suit Operating System and Artificial Intelligence System; it is unique to the Gundam AGE. The AGE System has comprises three parts; AGE Device, AGE Builder and Gundam AGE Series.

Description & Characteristics[]

The AGE System is general name for the system that comprises the Gundam, AGE Device and AGE Builder.[1] It is based on a program that researches the evolution of living beings by digitizing the mysteries surrounding it, collecting battle data to produce new technology to adapt to various environments.[2] The Gundam serves as both the core unit and the data gathering unit, with the AGE System core being stored in the Gundam's chest.[1] The AGE Device acts as the protection key while the AGE Builder serves both as a data analyzer and high speed parts builder.[1]

The first Gundam that utilized the AGE System is the AGE-1 Gundam AGE-1. It possessed the system for 26 years until A.G. 141 where the system was transferred to the newer AGE-2 Gundam AGE-2 while the AGE-1 Gundam was modified so it can function without the AGE System. It is revealed in a report by EFF researchers that the Federation lacks the ability to completely analyze the AGE System.[2]
