The Zssa is Neo Zeon's mobile suit from the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, design by Yutaka Izubuchi.
Design as artillery bombard unit, the Zssa is notable for carries large number of missiles in its stocky yellow frame. A Zssa without additional equipment carries total number of 44 missile all over its body. In addition to these missile, Zssa also armed with 30 mm vulcan guns, beam saber and scatter beam gun. The "basic" version of Zssa only seen early in the series as Mashymre Cello use it in his fail attemp to destroy the Argama-class assault carrier.
Eventually the Zssa has gone mass produced by Neo Zeon. This more common version of Zssa are seen equipped with optional booster pack and even more missile pod. With booster attachment, the Zssa can fly in atmosphere and perform as aerial bombardment unit.

The Zssa Custom is heavily modified version of Zssa used by Alvelnishika Keast, member of anti-Federation group Colrode. This red Zssa is more of general purpose unit with most of its built-in missile launcher and scattering beam gun removed. Instead, Zssa Custom has pair of beam cannon on each shoulder and replace right manupulator hand with "gun spear", a combination of 3-barrel rapid-fire beam cannon and heat knife. It also use Ak-90S optional booster pack instead of regular one, this version of booster pack armed with 3-barrel beam gun and 12-tube missile launcher.
AMX-013 Zssa Dain
Appear in side-story manga Under the Gundam: Double Fake, design by Hitoshi Fukuchi. Another Zssa variant that used by Alvelnishika Keast. The Zssa Dain equipped with powerful beam cannon on its back. Its manipulator hands are fited with sharp claws that can be use in melee combat.

A replica of Zssa discovered by Moonrace on Moon Mountain Cycle. The Zssan is quite different from normal Zssa with different frame and blue paint job. It carries less missile and lacking other armaments utilised by Zssa. Instead, Zssan's arms can deliver "arm punch" attack, by launch its manipulator hand outward and increase impact punching force (similar to Zssa's partner machine in Universal Century era AMX-101 Galluss-J). It's 6-tube leg missile launcher usually loaded with wire anchors that can be use in close range combat. While Zssan never seen equip with any optional booster pack, it alway armed with single 7-tube missile pod similar to one used by Zssa.
Like most MS deployed by Ghingnham's forces, there are unmanned unit of Zssan which can be remote controled by squad leader pilot. These unmanned Zssan are most likely use similar technology to Mobile Doll of After Colony era.
