The Gunbarrel Striker is a Support fighter/Striker Pack for use with GAT-X105 Strike/GAT-01A1 105 Dagger in the Cosmic Era timeline.
Combat Abilities
The Gunbarrel Striker is a special unit based upon the prototype TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero, which can operate on its own as a fighter or change into a Striker Pack to be mounted on a GAT-X105 Strike or GAT-01A1 105 Dagger. The armament of the unit consists of a single M58E4 Gatling gun, which is mounted underneath the main body when in fighter mode. As with the Moebius Zero, the main armament of the unit is however its gunbarrel system, which includes four wire-guided gunbarrel pods. These pods feature upgraded armament compared to the one used on the Moebous Zero, which consists of one GAU-758S beam gun and two M70AMSAT missiles per pod.
History
Based upon the Moebius Zero, the Gunbarrel Striker was created by the Earth Alliance as a support unit for Mobile Suits capable of mounting Striker Packs, like the 105 Dagger series. As with the gunbarrels on the Moebius Zero, the Gunbarrel Striker can only be operated by pilots with highly spatial awareness and as a result only a few units are produced. At least two of them were used by 105 Dagger ace pilot Morgan Chevalier.
