Disambiguation:

Tianem (ティアンム?) is a character from the Mobile Suit Gundam television series and the Mobile Suit Gundam: Outer Gundam manga. He was the commander of the 4th Fleet in the Earth Federation Space Forces.

History[]

One Year War[]

During Operation British, Admiral Tianem led the 4th Fleet in an attempt to halt the colony drop on Jaburo. The resulting battle ended in failure: though the colony's path was diverted, it was not halted and 70% of the 4th Fleet sunk.

Later, Admiral Tianem was put in charge of the deployment and defense of the Federation's Solar Flare System weapon during the Battle of Solomon. His flagship, the Titan, was sunk by the MA-08 Big Zam during that operation.

Legacy[]

A Ra Cailum-class battleship, the Admiral Tianem, was named in his honor. [1]

Notes & Trivia[]

  • In early production materials, his name was Teanm (テアンム?) [2].
  • Outer Gundam gives his full name as "Mcfati Tianem" (マクファティ・ティアンム), and this name was subsequently used in several video games. However, Tianem's full name was not mentioned in any official sources.
