The CAMS-13 MS-Rai is a mobile suit and appears in G-Saviour. It is piloted by Jack Halle.

Technology & Comabat Characteristics[]

A high-performance CONSENT mobile suit. Though it has a lower top speed than previous CONSENT mobile suits such as the CCMS-03 Bugu, it is better armed and has better defenses. Its armaments include a beam shield generator mounted on its left arm and a beam rifle and beam saber for long and close range combat. Mounted on its backpack are four movable mechanisms and the top two each house 8-tube grenade launchers. Its shoulder armor also contains 8-tube micro-rocket launchers. It can also be fitted with a booster for increased thrust, which can also be jettisoned.

Unlike the autonomous CAMW-13 MW-Rai, the MS-Rai is equipped with a EP-11B Type cockpit instead of a Feeling Sense Equipped Block Box unit and is manually piloted. As the MS-Rai was originally designed to be used as an autonomous Mobile Weapon, the mobile suit is difficult to control for regular pilots.[1]

Armaments[]

  • Beam Saber
The MS-Rai is equipped with a single beam saber that emits a turquoise beam.
  • Beam Lance
An optional lance-like beam weapon that emits a turquoise beam at the end.
  • Beam Shield
A green V-shaped beam shield. The beam shield generator is located on its left arm.
  • 8-tube Grenade Launcher
Two 8-tube grenade launchers are mounted on the back of the MW-Rai.
  • 8-tube Micro-rocket Launcher
Two 8-tube micro-rocket launchers are equipped on the shoulder armor.
  • MPC-4, MPC-5 compatible hand weapons

Special Equipment & Features[]

  • SHP-52-OP, M202, and S171 compatible modules
Equipment modules that can be utilized by the MS-Rai. The only one seen is the booster pack.

History[]

A number of MS-Rai and MW-Rai units were built secretly by the Congressional Armed Forces (CAF) and prepared for use in suppressing resistance. Most of these units were ready to be deployed. Though normally deployed as autonomous MW-Rai mobile weapons, some were deployed as MS-Rai units for commander use, and equipped with EP-11B Type cockpits.

Jack Halle sortied in one such unit and easily overwhelmed a squadron of Gaean RGM-196 Freedoms before fighting and losing to Mark Curran in the G-SAVIOUR G-Saviour Space Mode.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • Despite having 8-tube micro-rocket launchers in the line art, the movie CG model has 7-tubes instead. They also fire similarly to vulcan guns.
