In AC 195, Wufei was sent to Earth on the Shenlong Gundam as part of Operation Meteor. Wufei's objectives were to destroy OZ in retaliation for the assassination of the pacifist political leader Heero Yuy. One of Wufei's first missions was to destroy the space Taurus mobile suits at the Lake Victoria Base. Here, Wufei encountered Lieutenant Lucretia Noin, who was a mobile suit pilot instructor, training pilots for space combat and maneuvering. Noin saw that Wufei was a child and hesitated long enough for Chang to escape and enter his Gundam. Wufei then used a space cannon to shoot down an OZ Transport Plane that had been loaded with Taurus mobile suits.
Chang chided Noin for her hesitation, but did not destroy her. Wufei eventually met up with the other four pilots at the New Edwards Base as part of a trap set by Treize Khushrenada. Wufei then travelled with Trowa Barton in pursuit of Treize. Wufei enter a duel outside of his suit with Treize. Kushrenada bested him and left Wufei to doubt his own integrity. Wufei traveled to China where he encountered Sally Po leading a band of rebels against the military leader Colonel Bunto. Sally helped Wufei overcome the grief caused by his loss to Treize and he returned to piloting Shenlong in time to save the guerrilla fighters and Sally Po.
