Chap Adel (チャップ・アデル?) is a character who appears in the OVA Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory.

Personality & Character[]

Although he is an excellent pilot, he does not pretend to be so. He is a gentle and serious character, and often criticizes Bait and Monsha, and sometimes gives his opinion even though he is below them in rank. In addition, unlike the other two who made fun of Kou and Keith as "kids" and "uncalculated," there are scenes in which he shows concern as a senior by talking to Keith, who is panicked by the fear of battle, and calming him down. He is the most sensible person in the "Immortal 4th Platoon," which is generally full of peculiars. He is married and seems to have a happy family, and unlike his teammates, he is never depicted as being unfaithful.

History[]

Chap is a veteran of the One Year War, having served alongside his squadron mates Alpha A. Bait, Bernard Monsha, and their CO South Burning, collectively known as the Immortal 4th Team. After the war, Burning was transferred to Torrington Base in Sydney, Australia, while Monsha, Bait and Adel stuck together. After the theft of the RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis", Adel, along with Bait and Monsha, were transferred from their previous posting to the Albion to assist in the recovery of Unit 02. There, Monsha reunited with his old teammate Burning. After the success of Operation Stardust, the Federation Council establishes an elite counter-insurgency unit known as the Titans. Adel, along with most of the crew of the Albion, are among its first members.
