The Adler is a mobile suit introduced in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS Gekko.

Technology & Combat Characteristics

A large mobile suit of unknown origin used by Nanao Narolina. The Adler is approximately 1.5 times the size of a EB-06 Graze, and has a number of uniquely shaped parts, such as in its head, shoulders, and backpack. Furthermore, the volume of each part of its body has been greatly increased. Based on the characteristics of its body, it is assumed that the Adler uses the Graze Frame, but other than that nothing else is known about this mobile suit, including its performance. In addition to using the Graze's Battle Blade and 120mm Rifle, the Adler is also equipped with an anti-MS Claw tailored for its use on the left forearm.

Armaments

• GR-W01 120mm Rifle

The same shooting armament as used by the standard Graze. High accuracy, high utility value as the main or support weapon.

• GR-H02 Battle Blade

A sword-type melee weapon used by the Graze that is developed for ground combat, it is easy to wield due to its lightweight. It is stored on left shoulder when not in use.

• Anti-MS Claw

Equipped with three sharp blades, the anti-MS (Mobile Suit) claw is a dedicated close combat weapon mounted on the Adler's left forearm.

History

The Adler was used by Nanao Narolina to escort Rosario Leone in his ASW-G-47 Gundam Vual to prevent Liarina Morugaton from reaching the Tanto Tempo meeting. After Rosario's defeat and surrender to Argi Mirage and his ASW-G-29 Gundam Astaroth, Nanao used the Adler to assassinate Rosario to prevent his defection.

Notes & Trivia

• Adler means "eagle" in German.
• The Adler was modeled by the Gunpla builder "Syurachin". It was an entry in the "Iron-Blooded Gunpla Contest" held by the Bandai Hobby Division, in the B course titled "Original Gunpla Course", where participants were challenged by production staff to create original Gunpla models.
