The RX-79[G]Ez-SR1 Gundam Ez-SR Intruder (aka Ez-SR1 Intruder, Ez-SR Intruder, Intruder) is a Gunpla introduced in the anime Gundam Build Fighters Try. It is piloted by Daigo Ishibashi.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A Gunpla that is a modified version of the Gundam Ez8 from Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, the Intruder is one of three Gundam Ez-SRs belonging to the Seiren Technical College Science Club "Team SRSC". Its role in the team is to defeat opponents in close combat while receiving support from the Eliminator and Shadow Phantom. It is armed with close-range weaponry such as electromagnetic knuckles, short barrel beam rifle, etc. Additionally, its backpack is equipped with boosters to enhance its mobility.
Armaments[]
- Vulcan
- A pair of shell-firing armament built into the Intruder's head, they have a high-rate of fire but little power, and are used for intercepting missiles, etc.
- Swivel Vulcan
- Common to the three Gundam Ez-SRs, this shell-firing weapon is installed in the center bottom of the chest and its barrel can swivel up and down. The Swivel Vulcan is effective in destroying enemy sensors, etc.
- Electromagnetic Knuckle
- Equipped on the front of both forearm covers, it is used for punching and can deliver an electrical shock when it comes into contact with an enemy unit. The forearm cover will slide forward to cover the hand when the electromagnetic knuckle is used.
- Beam Saber
- A close combat weapon that emits a beam blade, a pair of them are stored on top of the left forearm cover. They can be removed from the forearm cover and held in hand.
- Short Barrel Beam Rifle
- A custom firearm used by the Intruder. It is based on the Gundam Ez8's beam rifle, but with a short barrel for ease of use in close combat.
History[]
Gundam Build Fighters Try Episode Six[]
Used by Team SRSC in a battle against Team Try Fighters. The team initially overwhelmed the Try Fighters with their coordinated tactics, where each member had a clearly defined role. However, the situation was overturned by the Winning Gundam's gimmick and the Build Burning Gundam's powerful ground attack. The Intruder then engaged in hand-to-hand combat with the Build Burning Gundam using its left electromagnetic knuckle, but was defeated by the latter's Winning Knuckle.

- The RX-79[G] Ez-SR1 Gundam Ez-SR Intruder's design may be a reference to Dragonar Unit-1 from the anime Metal Armor Dragonar.
- Although the Gundam Ez-SR Intruder was shown to have vulcan guns in its head in the anime and in the model kit, they are missing in the suit's lineart on the official site.
- The letters "SR" in the suit's name and model code stands for "Seiren", the name of the team's technical college. They may also be a reference to the model number XD-01SR of Dragonar-1 Custom from the anime Metal Armor Dragonar.
- Although it is not shown in the anime, it is possible that the Ez-SR Intruder is also equipped with Plavsky Craft like the Ez-SR Shadow Phantom as all three Ez-SR units share the same basic chassis.
- Ez-SR Intruder carries a pair of 100mm Machine Gun magazines on its side skirt armor despite not using any compatible weapons. This is most likely because it reuses the same side skirt armor as the Gundam Ez8.
- Like the other Gundam Ez-SR, the Intruder is named after motorcycle - Suzuki Intruder.
- The three Gundam Ez-SR units are Naoki's first designs for animated work.
