The Gids Geese is a high-performance Man-Machine used by the Federation's Man Hunters and is found in the Novel and Radio Drama Gaia Gear.

Technology & Combat Characteristics

Developed during the late stages of the Manhunter's conflict with the forces of Metatron; the Gids Geese is a high-performance heavily armored Man-Machine produced by the Manhunters. The model's design isn't directly stated, but is heavily implied to be a direct offspring of the over 115 year old mobile suit prototype of the PMX-003 The-O; that has had it's outer shell overhauled to resemble the MSN-04 Sazabi as a cruel mockery. The unit incorporates several heavy and newtype-use weapons and was intended to see mass-production and widespread use by the Manhunter's before their subsequent defeat at the hands of Metatron.

Armaments

• Beam Launcher

Serving as the Gid Geese's primary weapon, the beam launcher used by the Gids Geese is massive and powerful beam weapon allowing it to cause high levels of damage and destruction to enemies. The weapon also possesses an underslung Barrel Missile grenade launcher.

• Beam Saber

Stored within the waist armor, the Gid Geese has access to a pair of large beam sabers for use in hand-to-hand combat.

• Beam Cannon

Housed within the Gid Geese's stomach, the Gid Geese possesses an extremely powerful mega particle cannon that is directly linked to the suit's Ø-cycle reactor, allowing the Gid's Geese a high degree of decreased charging time for the weapon to fire.

• Sand Barrel

Much like many Man Machine's of this era. The GIds Geese can be equipped with an optional "Sand Barrel"; which is an airburst anti-missile/anti-funnel grenade launcher that is designed to disable remote weapons.

• Barrel Missile

Mounted to the underside of the Gids Geese's beam launcher, the Barrel Missile serves as an alternate physical projectile grenade launcher that the Gids Geese can utilize.

• Funnels

Stored within the the back-mounted booster/ shoulder shield sections of the Gids Geese. The suit has has access to several remote funnel weapons that can be controlled Via, the pilot Via the unit's own psycommu device.

Special Equipment & Features

• Ø-cycle reactor

Inspired by the name of the mobile suit the Gids Geese was inspired by, the Ø-cycle reactor is an advanced and highly specialized minovsky particle fusion reactor, with the added benefit of being specially designed to reabsorb beam energy redirected by the suit's I-field. Allowing for rapid recharging of the unit's funnels and beam weapons during combat as well as being able to extend the suit's own long time combat ability as a result. Essentially allowing the suit to absorb beam energy from enemy attacks and using that energy to power the unit's own weapons.

• I-field / M-Barrier Generator.

Like the α000-0001 Gaia Gear α, RX-110 Refined Zorin Soul and Bromb Texter Production Type, the Gids Geese makes use of an "M-Barrier", a highly-advanced and innovated version of the standard I-Field. Unlike a traditional I-field; which is designed to protect a mobile weapon for oncoming beam attacks, the M-Barrier makes use of a much more powerful iteration of the standard condensed minovsky particle field. This field can block beam energy attacks, but also has the added benefit of being able to shield the unit from physical weapons and guided projectiles. Although seemingly invincible, the M-Barrier has many drawbacks. It is susceptible to fast-moving and small objects, over-powering high levels of mega-beam energy, point-blank-range beam attacks, small pieces of flying debris and especially; explosive damage.

This device greatly increases the unit's defensive capabilities; allowing for the suit to be protected from enemy beam attacks. With the energy from such weapons being absorbed and redirected. However, the device can work in conjunction with unit's Ø-cycle reactor; allowing for energy absorbed by the M-Barrier to be reprocessed and redirected into other functions of the suit.

History

Completed in the final stages of the manhunter's conflict with Metatron; and later utilized in the Manhunter's coup against the earth federation government, the Gids Geese was a heavily armed and heavily armoured Man Machine that saw limited production and limited use by the rogue Manhunter forces in the final stages of the war. The unit incorperated powerful new advancements in man machine technology and the unit was seen by many as the pinnacle of man machine design. Inspired by the 115 year year old concept mobile suit of the PMX-003 The-O, the unit lends many of it's design influences to the old Gryps Conflict prototype. However, all of the remaining units would be destroyed by the end of the Manhunter's coup and the unit would never see further use or development.

Variants

• Gids Geese Light-Armor Type

A stripped down version of the Gid's Geese; the Gids Geese Light-Armor Type was originally the unit's prototype, with much of the unit's weapons, equipment and features diminished. The machine would see limited combat in the final days of the Manhunter's fight with Metatron before being upgraded finally to the standard Gids Geese.
