The Gwadan-class is a class of battleship introduced in the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam anime series.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A successor of the Principality of Zeon's Gwazine class, the Gwadan class also sports a crimson hull and huge spherical propellant tanks near the stern. The Gwadan class is designed with excellent long-range cruising capability and the ability to take on multiple enemy ships simultaneously. Its primary guns pack enough power to decimate the thermonuclear engines of the super structure, Colony Laser. One of the major upgrades over the Gwazine class is the provision of two mobile suit catapults at the top and a mobile suit launcher at the bottom that can launch mobile suits in any angle of its 270-degree fore sweep. It is unclear exactly how many mobile suit this large ship can carry, though it is said to be capable of carrying around 100 AMX-003 Gaza-Cs. With grand halls catered for Zabi family members (in effect Mineva Zabi), the Gwadan class served as flagship of the Axis Zeon fleet.

History[]
The Gwadan-class was one of the largest warships ever constructed in the Universal Century era, with strong firepower and extremely high mobile suit carrying capacity. Such powerful capabilities allowed Haman Karn's Axis Zeon forces to operate the namesake vessel, the Gwadan, like a mobile fortress and command center for the entire fleet during the Gryps War. The Gwadan was destroyed during the war by the Titans after the failed talks and the death of Jamitov Hymen.[1]
In UC 0116 a Gwaban Class is spotted to dock alongside Carrozo Ronah's ship the Zammouth Garr in a backwater colony called Oak Leaf located in the Dark Side of the Moon also known as Zebra Zone to discuss about their future secret alliance with Crossbone Vanguard.[2] The owner also captain of this particular ship is Rhein Dragun the leader of Zeon Remmants "Legacy" Group which one of the largest remmant group in UC 100s era.[3]
Apart from the namesake, there were two other vessels, the Gwaley,[4] and the Inxs.[5]
