Jimba Ral (ジンバ・ラル Jinba Raru?) is a character from the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga and its OVA adaptation. He is the father of Ramba Ral.
Personality & Character[]
Although Jimba Ral was deeply dedicated to the teachings of Zeon Zum Deikun, he was also horribly paranoid, and often let his irrational hatred of the Zabis cause him to appear insane to others.
History[]
After the death of Zeon Zum Deikun, his children Casval Rem Deikun and Artesia Som Deikun escaped from the Autonomous Republic of Munzo to Earth with the help of Jimba. They spent three years living a life of luxury as wards of the aristocratic Don Teabolo Mass, who gave them the surnames Édouard Mass and Sayla Mass and treated them as his own adopted children.

Jimba Ral constantly reminded Édouard of the Zabis' betrayal of the Deikuns, with Sayla hating him for this. The same day, Jimba was visited by Anaheim Electronics' vice-president, Chelsea, who promised that Anaheim would lobby key Federation officials for his bid to retake Side 3 from the Zabi. However, Chelsea was also Teabolo's former business rival, and Teabolo confronted Jimba after spotting Chelsea leave. After confessing his plans, which Teabolo insisted had no chance of succeeding, Jimba asserted that with Deikun's children, they'd be able to sway the populace of Side 3 to their side. Though reminded that Édouard and Sayla had their names legally changed for their own survival, Jimba defended that this arrangement was meant to be temporary and hotly declared that Teabolo would not take Deikun's heirs for his own. However, his confidence fell short as Teabolo declared him no longer welcome in his home. The Mass patriarch then went on to say that only if the children agreed to accompany Jimba, he would renounce all parental rights and forget the past three years. Desperately begging for forgiveness, Jimba defended that he just couldn't stand the idea of the Zabis calling themselves Zeon and that he desperately wanted to believe Anaheim's promises. Teabolo refuted that a conglomerate like Anaheim only cared about profit and couldn't care less about Jimba or his people.
Unfortunately, the same night, spies working for Kycilia Zabi informed her of Jimba's plans and she sent assassins to put a stop to them. Jimba was killed by an assassin dressed in knight's armor, who drove a sword through his heart, killing him.
