Direct Sequel: Shin Plamo Kyoshiro[]

Shin plamo kyoshiro

Shin Plamo Kyoshiro

Shin Plamo Kyoshiro ( 新プラモ狂四郎, Lit. New Plamo Kyoshiro ) was a Japanese comic written by Hisashi Yasui and illustrated by Koichi Yamato. It was published from 1987 to 1988 in Kodansha Publishing's Comic Bom Bom magazine. It is a direct sequel to Plamo Kyoshiro.

Descrption:

The protagonist of this story is Shiro Arata (aka Shin KyoShiro) a young man that moved to Tokyo from Hokkaido with his parents. He is transferred to the Dainippon Zoukei Gakuen, which is Japan's number one modeling education center. The main plot is the confrontation between the "Plastic model club" to which the main character "Shin Kyoshiro" belongs and the thugs sent by the "Dainippon Zoukei Gakuen Student Organization""Shin Kyoshiro" has to fight against the thugs sent out one after another by the student council president, who is a mysterious and powerful student of the school.

Plamo Simulation: ARMORED BATTLE

In this work the simulation Sistem is called "Armored Battle" were real humans fight each other in a battle field called "Battle Ring". The terrain of the field is reproduced by holography, and the player also forms a "battle suit" on the field and wears it automatically. The form and performance of the battle suit are determined by the player's plastic model. It is as if the user uses the plastic model as a combat suit. Therefore, if the user utilizes a humanoid kit such as Gunpla on the field, the player will wear the kit as a suit as it is. That is, if a Gunpla is used, the player will be transformed into a Gunpla. However, if the size ratio of the limbs is not adjusted to the wearer, problems such as the limbs not reaching the end in the suit will occur.

Reception:

The release of this cartoon coincided with the beginning of the video game era in Japan, so it did not have the expected success. Kids were more involved in the Famicom/nintendo console craze than plastic models.

Only three volumes were released. After that, a reprint of two volumes was made. Lastly, a single volume with the three unified volumes was published.
