The RF Gelgoog is a mobile suit used by Mars Zeon in the video game Mobile Suit Gundam F91: Formula Report 0122.

Technology & Combat Characteristics[]

The RF Gelgoog was developed in the U.C. 0120s by Mars Zeon to resemble the appearance of the original Zeon's MS-14 Gelgoog. It has the highest performance among MS operated by the army, but only a few were produced due to high cost, resulting in it being assigned to only senior commanders or ace pilots. As it adopts an inner frame identical to the RF Dom's, it thus has high compatibility in terms of armament and ease of maintenance.

Armaments[]

  • Twin Beam Sword
The same close-range melee weapon as used by the normal Gelgoog, it is also known as a beam naginata. Its handle has a beam emitter at both ends, allowing it to generate two beam blades by containing and shaping plasma via an I-Field. The weapon can cut through most armor not treated with anti-beam coating. It can also generate only a beam blade on one end. When not in use, it is stored on the backpack.
  • 2-tube Missile Launcher
Mounted on both forearms, the missiles fired are moderately powerful self-propelling explosives that can deal significant damage to a mobile suit.
  • Beam Rifle
Standard range weapon that fires a directed and concentrated burst of mega particles. Can penetrate most materials that have not been treated with an anti-beam countermeasure.
  • Beam Bazooka
The beam bazooka utilizes the technology of a beam rifle on a slightly larger scale. The beam bazooka fires slower moving mega particles, causing its beam to widen and allowing the beam to cause damage over a greater area, ideal for dealing with battleships or catching multiple mobile suits off-guard.

Notes and Trivia[]

  • According to game data in the SNES game Mobile Suit Gundam F91: Formula Report 0122, the red and grey coloration denotes that particular RF Gelgoog is a higher performance version of the standard RF Gelgoog, though the model numbers are identical.
