Shelly Page (シェリー･ペイジ) is a character from the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam Define manga.
History[]
Shelly's real name was Olga Tymoshenko. When she was still a teenager, Olga received high marks for physical fitness from the Earth Federation Government Administration's Physical Health Commissioner, which allowed her a special exemption to enter the Commonwealth Games as a gymnast. Olga won four executive titles; however, the aforementioned commissioner made a deal with the Earth Federation Forces to invalidated her exemption, which also invalidated her titles. Olga's achievements were expunged entirely from the Commonwealth Games' records. The E.F.F did so because they were urgently looking for pilots to participate in Operation V, and Olga had caught their eyes. Having reached the age when gymnastics had became difficult to her, Olga enlisted in the E.F.F. under the name Shelly Page.
Shelly was the only person in her class at the Earth Federation Forces Academy graduated as a mobile suit pilot. In one of her missions, Shelly was sent to pursuit a Zanzibar-class rumored to be carrying Kycilia Zabi through the Shoal Zone. This was in truth a trap by the Principality of Zeon. Despite knowing that it was a trap, the mission's commanding officer decided to go through with it. Shelly was the only person who survived the Zeon ambush, and was then promoted to lieutenant along with the order to talk to nobody about the failed mission. This was the point when she changed her perspective completely and started following her own intuition instead of orders.
Shelly became a mobile suit instructor and eventually Head Instructor at the Konpei City Mobile Suit Training School. She trained many E.F.F. and Titans pilots, including Emma Sheen, Jerid Messa, Kacricon Cacooler and Lila Milla Rira. After the Titans once again failed to intercept the Argama-class Argama, Shelly and her squadron was assigned to the Alexandria-class heavy cruiser Alexandria under the command of Jamaican Daninghan, where she reunited with her old student Jerid and continued to personally tutor him. A close call with Char Aznable in his MSZ-000 Zero Shiki gave Shelly a scare, which turned into an obsession with defeating Char.
Shelly's unit was ordered to ambush the mobile suits of Anti Earth Union Group landing on Jaburo. She was also one of the few officers being informed of the Titans' trap. Before that, Shelly passed on the role of the commander of the Alexandria's mobile suit team to Jerid. She also confronted Mouar Pharaoh and planted a seed of doubt inside Mouar, which would eventually led to her disobeying the order to detonate the nuclear bomb.
Shelly clashed with Char, who tried to convince her to defect from the Titans but failed. Shelly was eventually brought down by the combined effort of Char and Kamille Bidan.
