The Flydart is an interceptor aircraft developed by the Earth Federation. It is featured in the Mobile Suit Variations series.

History

An ultra-high altitude interceptor aircraft developed from the FF-X7 Core Fighter, the Flydart incorporates lifting body concepts. The Flydart is normally launched from the ground through the use of large booster rockets, and can fly back to Earth from space and be landed. It was also intended to be carried in and deployed from the Depp Rog bomber. A hook was installed near the cockpit for recovery by the mothership. Flydarts were used to attack the Principality of Zeon's supply lines during the One Year War.
