The GF13-045NSP Matador Gundam is a mobile fighter that appears in Mobile Fighter G Gundam. It is piloted by Carlos Andalusia of Neo Spain.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A mobile fighter representing Neo Spain in the 13th Gundam Fight. The name "Matador" means "bullfighter," but the shape of the machine is reminiscent of the head of a giant bull. It is a fighting-type machine, with tenacious legs and feet due to its stable center of gravity, and powerful dashing power. It excels at assaulting with its heat horns, which are mounted on its torso, and overwhelms its opponents with a forceful physical attack. The Matador Gundam can also retract its head and limbs into its massive torso, transforming into a giant bull's head whose rocket boosters allow it to ram its foes at high speed.
Armaments[]
- Heat Horn
- A pair of huge horns equipped on the torso. They have outstanding destructive power and fight in a style that skewers opponents by making them red-hot.
- Saber
- A slender sword. It attacks by thrusting rather than cutting, and is used to attack the target's vital points.
- Beam Cloth
- A red cloak-shaped beam that hangs from the bottom of the forearm.
Special Attacks[]
- Red Flag Swirl
- A special move reminiscent of a bullfighter. It deploys a beam cloth and forcibly draws the opponent in, then attacks their vital points with a saber as they pass by.
History[]
It made its first appearance in episode 21 with a herd of fierce bulls, and headed for the finals venue, Neo Hong Kong. After that, it appeared in a few episodes starting from episode 24, but it didn't play a prominent role in the finals, as it only appeared in one cut and was defeated in a confrontation with the GF13-026ND Mermaid Gundam. In the final battle against the JDG-00X Devil Gundam, it joined the Gundam Union as a member and fought against the Devil Gundam Colony with Gundams from various countries.
