The Minaret Gundam is a mobile fighter that appears in the TV anime Mobile Fighter G Gundam.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A mobile fighter representing Neo Turkey in the 13th Gundam Fight. As its name suggests, the Minaret Gundam is armed with a huge curved sword, which can be stored on its left hip. The mobile fighter's impressive strength also enables pilot Saette Gyuzelle to use his wrestling skills to great effect, and its high adaptability lets it fight effectively in any environment.
Armaments[]
- Minaret Scimitar
- A huge half-moon sword that is the main armament of this machine.
History[]
Like Neo Mexico's GF13-049NM Tequila Gundam, the Minaret Gundam was targeted by its own government, but for different reasons. While Chico Rodriguez was hunted for avoiding the Gundam Fight, Saette Gyuzelle was wanted for attacking his own country and destroying parts of the historic city of Istanbul. However, Saette's actions were not of his own free will. At one point in the tournament, Saette was attacked by the JDG-00X Devil Gundam and infected with the Devil Gundam's DG cells. Afterwards, Saette would lose control of the Minaret Gundam and regain consciousness after it completed its destructive rampage. As Neo Turkey hunted him, Saette encountered his former lover, Rain Mikamura. After discovering his infection, Rain pleaded with her partner Domon Kasshu to spare Saette. Their encounter ultimately led to a Gundam Fight, but the DG cells overwhelmed Saette and took control. After Domon defeated the Minaret Gundam with his GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam, Saette was cured of the DG cell infection and pardoned by Neo Turkey's government.
