The GPB-04B Beargguy is a variation of mobile suit MSM-04 Acguy from the Model Suit Gunpla Builders Beginning G original video animation. It is piloted by Gunpla Meister Rina Noyama.

Technological & Combat Characteristics

The Beargguy is an oddly designed mobile suit, basing on the original Acguy except for its anthropomorphic bear motif with special red backpack on its back. It's weapons consists of four 105mm vulcan guns mounted in the ears, a mega particle gun mounted in its right forearm, extendable claws (along with an extendable arm to increase striking distance) also mounted on the right forearm, and six shot missile launchers mounted within the backpack and on the left forearm. The unit is also equipped with a new weapon named the Recorder Beam Saber, which is mounted on the suit's "backpack"-like boosters. The boosters somehow increase the suit's mobility in combat. The Beargguy is also somehow able to hold things with its missile launcher paws, such as the Beam Recorder.

  • Vulcan Gun
Stored on the ears of the Beargguy, these are normal long-ranged weapons used to take down missiles. They are less effective in MS combat.
  • Extendable Claws
Beargguy retains the Acguy's extendable claws mounted on the right arm for striking down enemy mobile suits.
  • Beam Recorder/Saber
The Beargguy's most unique close ranged weaponry. Although it resembles a recorder, it is a modified beam saber used for close combat. A unique function of this weapon is that when the Beargguy "plays" it, it shoots a gigantic beam shot.
  • 6-shot Missile Launcher
Can be optionally mounted in both arms, and is the same as the one mounted on the original Acguy.
  • Mega Particle Cannon
Fires a devastating beam shot from the eyes and the right paw. Is able to fire successive shots due to the unique water cooling system used in the Acguy series.

Special Features

  • Landcell Unit
The Landcell Unit is a special backpack developed for the Beargguy, resembling more of a Schoolgirl Backpack. It has special thrusters allowing the Beargguy to maneuver in space more efficiently. The unit also acts as a storage compartment for the Beam Recorder/Saber and a 6 shot missile launcher as well.

The GPB-04B Beargguy was first created as a simple redecoration - Rina had built a normal Acguy and placed a bear hoodie over its head and placed a plastic fish in its claws. When Haru obtained the runner parts for the GPB-X80-30F Beginning 30 Gundam, he, along with Kenta, also helped in modifying the Acguy model into an actual Beargguy. Rina, along with Kenta in his white Sazabi, were forced to launch without Haru in the Gunpla Battlers Championship, where'd she find out her Beargguy was not meant for space combat, making her a liability. The Beargguy and Sazabi were rescued from the reappearance of the Hi-Nu Gundam by Haru and the completed Beginning 30 Gundam. When Boris Schauer and his assistants Diana Lee and Sam arrive to challenge Haru and his friends, Rina challenges Diana and her MS-18E Kämpfer. Her unconventional weaponry takes Diana off-guard as the Beargguy's Mega Particle Cannon nearly destroys the Kampfer.
