GSF-YAM02 Guardshell is a transformable mobile armor, it is featured in the manga series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Δ ASTRAY. The unit is piloted by Nahe Herschel.

Technology & Combat Characteristics

The armament of the Guardshell is rather simple and consists of a single beam cannon mounted on a tentacle while for defense the suit can use a beam shield. In mobile suit mode the upper shell becomes a yo-yo-like weapon with a beam edge.

In MA mode, it's tripod legs are capable of picking up objects. The MA's third leg folds up onto its back in MS Mode.

History

Created on Mars, the Guardshell is the personal mobile weapon of Nahe Herschel, who uses it on his journey around Earth. Nahe uses the Guardshell to fight against the mobile suits of Phantom Pain and later a suit of Orb.
