Lyle Dylandy is the younger identical twin brother to Neil Dylandy, the original Lockon Stratos. After Neil's death, Lyle succeeded Neil as the new Lockon Stratos. He's a double agent, a spy of Katharon and Gundam Meister to Celestial Being. In season 2, he pilots GN-006 Cherudim Gundam; in the movie, he pilots GN-010 Gundam Zabanya.

Personality & Character

Lyle is a person that hates being measured by others by his merits. While he had no hate against his brother, Neil, Lyle self-depicts himself as the least appreciated twin and rather go somewhere else than being compared to Neil. As a child, he couldn't stand the competition and rather stay away from a unappreciative family; all of his feelings might be personal insecurities and self-concluded reality of his youth and not how actual events occurred as he describes it. Similar to Neil, they both have a strong sense of justice and motivated to take arms to make a difference with his world. Unlike Neil, Lyle can let many unforgiving matters go. While Neil is respectful with his female co-workers, Lyle is seen to proactive in chasing women such as Feldt Grace. Over time, due to the loss of his beloved Anew Returner, Lyle learned to hold a real grudge and have a sense of vengeance, specifically at both Setsuna F. Seiei for killing her, and Ali Al-Saachez for ruthlessly murdering his entire family. Through his experiences of this painful loss, Lyle had the chance to understand his brother's obsession with vengeance and the reason for his death.

Skills & Abilities

According to CB data, Lyle is considered a very talented MS pilot. His mobile suit aptitude test shows high marks in MS piloting and shooting skills. While not as talented as Neil when he started piloting Cherudim, the test scores suggest that he has the potential to be just as good or even better than Neil. As his MS combat experience accumulates, he developed exceptional skills as a Gundam Meister. He handles Cherudim the best at short range combat tactics. As a Katharon agent, Lyle knows a thing or two about spy tactics.

History

Youth

Lyle was born and raised in Ireland with his parents, Neil, and little sister Amy. As the younger of the twins, he grew up being compared to Neil. Lyle had difficulty growing up along with Neil. While the entire situation was never revealed, it suggests that Lyle felt Neil was the favored son, causing Lyle to feeling inferior and out of place in the family; it's never proven the Dylandy family practiced favoritism, it's possible that Lyle have a inferiority complex and/or a deep level of personal insecurity when it comes to bonding with people. Nevertheless, the unpleasant experiences motivated him to attend to a boarding school to avoid his family. After losing his family to a terrorist explosion (caused by KPSA), Lyle moved on with his life; he still visits his family's grave; he always avoided seeing Neil.

Celestial Being's World Armed Intervention

During the events of A.D. 2307, Neil has since became a Gundam Meister and has been performing world armed interventions to change the world. Because Neil never disclosed information to anyone, including his family, Lyle never knew his brother's activities with Celestial Being.

Avoiding Neil

Upon the anniversary of the deaths of his family, Lyle returned home to bring white roses to their grave. Shortly after, Neil came along to drop white roses as well. Perhaps still unable to face Neil, Lyle chose to hide behind some trees to avoid seeing him and quietly left.

Joining Katharon

After the events of A.D. 2307, the world began to unite as a single government entity, the Earth Sphere Federation. Between 2310-2312, ESF began their own world interventions to unit the planet under ESF rule. Lyle somehow learned the truth behind the tyrannical methods ESF was using to rule the planet and decided to join the underground rebellion group, Katharon. Lyle have since became a informant spy for Katharon, often using his resources to help Katharon avoid detection and uncover secrets.

Return of Lockon Stratos

The year is now 2312, after the death of Lockon Stratos/Neil Dylandy, Celestial Being had yet to find a Gundam Meister to replace him. While working as a Katharon spy, Lyle received a message from an unknown person to meet with him (Setsuna). It was never explained how Setsuna convinced Lyle to meet up with him, only showing him agreeing to meet.

Recruiting Lyle

Lyle attended to this mysterious meeting at the very memorial where his family died. When Setsuna arrived and identified Lyle as a rebel member of Katharon, Lyle thought Setsuna was a Federation peacekeeper. Setsuna revealed himself as a Gundam Meister of Celestial Being, here to recruit him as the next Lockon Stratos. Lyle was confused and suspected Setsuna pulling a bad joke, but then Setsuna mentions Neil (older twin brother). Lyle then learns about Neil as a Gundam Meister and died nearly four years ago. Lyle wondered if his recruitment is Neil's dying wish, but Setsuna tells Lyle that they are very similar in their desire to change the world. Setsuna gave Lyle a crystal memory stick, pertaining Celestial Being's intelligence. Setsuna also warned Lyle that security forces will soon attack a Katharon cell in Europe.

Later at night, Lyle confirmed news of Federation after their cell in Europe. Lyle then contacted Katharon and requested a personal meeting. It's believed he contacted Klaus to inform him he has been invited to Celestial Being as a Gundam Meister. Lyle later accepted Setsuna's invitation, but it's not clear did he accept the position for his brother or for Katharon (possibly a combination of both reasons). Lyle later contacted Setsuna to meet up with him at the Union's orbital space station to take a shuttle back to Ptolemy 2. While on their way back, A-Laws went after Ptolemy II and Setsuna decided intercept 00 Gundam in the launch bay. Lyle had to take the helm and take evasive maneuvers to avoid getting shot by A-Laws' mobile suits. After the debut of 00 Gundam, the crew gave Lyle a shocking reception as they thought it was Neil. Sumeragi had to explain he's really Lockon's little brother.

Rescuing a Comrade(s)

After their first major battle, Lyle was quickly trained as a MS pilot by Tieria. Though his simulation training was short, his scores revealed he's unusually gifted in mobile suit piloting (a possible skill he hidden from everyone else). Wang Liu Mei gave brand new intel of the location of Allelujah Haptism and the crew was eager for immediate abstraction. After repeated requests from the crew, Sumeragi relented to create a bold mission plan of only 5 minutes. Unknown to the rest of the crew, Lyle tipped off Katharon of their mission in an attempt to also rescue his Katharon brothers. As Ptolemy 2 distracted Federation forces, the rest of the Meisters began their attack. Lyle/Cherudim was hidden in the mountain terrain for sniping and provided support fire for Tiera/Seravee. After Allelujah was rescued, the Meister's made a tactical retreat. While heading back to Ptolemy, Lyle checked to see if his Katharon brothers made it to safety. He spotted them leaving on boats and was relieved the mission was a two birds with one stone success. Back on board Ptolemy II, Lockon commented how versatile the ship is when Allelujah jumped up in shock to see a very much a alive Lockon Stratos. Lyle couldn't help but say, "I'm getting tired of that reaction".

Feldt's Rejection

After Lyle returned to Ptolemy 2, he wanted to increase his combat capabilities by going through virtual combat simulations inside Cherudim Gundam. He only achieved a 78% accuracy rating, a score below Neil. While taking a break from training, he notices Feldt Grace nearby and talks to her. He notices that Feldt often looks at his direction and wanted to know why. Haro blabbed out Feldt's attraction for Lockon Stratos, but Lyle reminds her that he's not his brother.

Lyle then holds Feldt's face and says "And you say 'That's fine with me' and go for me anyway" and closes in for a kiss. After the kiss, he suggests more private time together in his room, but was immediately slapped for his indecency. Feldt tearfully ran off and Haro remarks he was rejected. As he walked down the hanger bay he comments, "I just can't bear always being compared to him..."

Anti A-Laws Campaign

Middle East Conflict

Underwater A-Laws Assault

While heading towards Azadistan in Ptolemy II (underwater), Lyle returns to his room and secretly reports to Klaus of Ptolemy II's heading. While hanging with Haro, the ship was suddenly attacked by A-Laws with their mobile suit carrier and a submersible (GNMA-04B11 Trilobite). Lyle quickly ran back to the mobile suit hanger bay as their Gundams were being flooded with sea water. As Ptolemy II reached to safe depth levels to sortie, all the Gundams exited below the hanger bay and engaged A-Laws' GNMA-04B11 Trilobite. Lyle assisted Tieria/Seravee by shooting at Trilobite, but the mobile armor only suffered little or no damage. Lockon/Cherudim and Tieria/Seravee looked after Ptolemy as Setusuna/00 finished off Trilobite and headed towards the surface with Allelujah/Arios to eliminate A-Laws.

The battle was undecided until the sudden appearance of Katharon intervention, A-Laws called a tactical retreat. After the battle, Katharon met up with Setsuna and Marina Ismail with an audience request with Celestial Being.

Meeting with Katharon

Celestial Being agreed to Katharon's invitation and entered the Rub' al Khali desert for a meeting. Lockon/Cheridum and Allelujah/Arios escorted Setsuna, Tieria, Sumeragi, Marina, and Saji (riding a Celestial Being VTOL craft ) to the Katharon secret base. While heading there, Tieria comments how Katharon isn't likely to be found hidden here and Lyle followed up on his words. Lyle comments how the desert is laced with GN particle emitters to help choke development in the middle east, but the jamming effect GN particles have also prevents Katharon from being discovered. As they entered the Katharon hanger, many members gathered to greet them. The rebels were most enthusiastic to see the faces of their idols and against Tieria's reminder of their code of secrecy, he unmasked himself to greet them.

After Katharon leaders completed their meeting with Celestial Being, Lyle had a secret meeting between Klaus Grado and Shirin Bakhtiar. They were discussing the failure of their proposed alliance, but Klaus remains optimistic that they will join hands together. Lyle then regrouped with Celestial Being and returned to Ptolemy 2.

Katharon Massacre

While back in Ptolemy II, Wang Liu Mei informs Celestial Being of A-Laws immanent attack upon the Katharon base. Lockon is impatiently on standby as Ptolemy 2 attempts to double back to Katharon's base. Lockon/Cherudim, Tieria/Seravee, and Allelujah/Arios sorties to engage A-Laws. By the time Lockon/Cherudim made it to the battlefield, Katharon members within the base were being slaughtered by Automatons. Lockon/Cherudim attempts to assist Katharon members within their exposed MS hanger, but was distracted by Soma/Ahead Smultron. As Lockon/Cherudim made it to the exposed hanger, he was shocked by the work of A-Laws' Automatons and angrily shot all of them down with his GN Pistols. As soon as he finished up with the Automatons, he tried to shoot down Soma/Ahead Smultron, but she evaded and escaped. As A-Laws made a tactical retreat, Lockon/Cherudim continues to fire at the fleeing A-Laws squadron, telling them not to run away in rage.

Defending Katharon

After fending off A-Laws, the Meisters went to see the damage on the Katharon base. One of the rebels accuses Celestial Being of leaking information to A-Laws and Tieria denied the accusation. The upset Katharon rebel demands revenge for his dead brothers and aims a gun at Tieria. Lockon pushed the gun away and convinces them they weren't responsible and promises to get revenge for them. He then talks to Klaus, telling him that Celestial Being will provide temporary defense for Katharon until they can relocate.

As Nena Trinity/Riian arrived with relief supplies and equipment, Lockon and the rest of the crew heads towards the coast to intercept A-Laws and give Katharon time to relocate. As the crew prepares for battle, Lockon tells Haro he's going to battle seriously and launches. As the rest of the Gundams engage A-Laws mobile suits, Lockon/Cherudim provides cover fire and snipes down several GN-X IIIs (with higher accuracy). As the battle drags out, Setsuna/00 Gundam suffered a malfunction and was dead in the water. Lockon/Cherudim and Tieria/Seravee defended Setsuna/00 against A-Laws mobile suits until he could be recovered. Ptolemy 2 fired a pair of smokescreen torpedoes to confuse enemy units and A-Laws called for a tactical retreat.

Search & Rescue Allelujah

As A-Laws retreated, Allelujah/Arios couldn't be located and suspected to have crash landed somewhere around the middle eastern coast. A return call was made to Meisters to regroup and re-sortie for a search & rescue operation. Computer data about Arios' last known position was used as the starting point to find Alleujah. Lockon/Cherudim and Tieria/Seravee sortied under heavy rain and low visibility throughout the night as they search for Allelujah.

By morning, there was still no signs of Allelujah nor Arios. Lockon was considering the possibility that Allelujah/Arios crashed into the ocean, making the search impossible. Just then a Federation Army GN-X III appears before him and gives him data of Allelujah's whereabouts (Sergei Smirnov). Lockon/Cherudim lets him off and proceeded to the following coordinates and found Allelujah. Lockon commented, "All this time we were breaking our backs looking for you and you were with a girl? Not bad." Lockon then gave the good news to everyone with a live video feed, relieving the hearts of the Ptolemy crew, and shocking them with Allelujah kissing Marie.

Neil's Nemesis

Setsuna and Tieria were sent to investigate the identity of an unknown A-Laws senior member at a Federation banquet. Their mission was compromised and they retreated back to Ptolemy II; Setsuna/00 and Tieria/Seravee encountered A-Laws/Innovator resistance (Ali Al-Saachez/GNW-20000 Arche Gundam). Sumeragi was concerned for their return and dispatched Lockon/Cherudim and Allelujah/Arios. Lockon saw Setsuna/00 and Tieria/Seravee engaged in MS combat and provided cover fire. After Ali fled, Tieria still wanted to chase Ali, but Allelujah stopped him. Tieria explained the man that just fled was Lockon's nemesis. To Lyle's surprise, Neil had an nemesis. The Gundam Meisters returned to Ptolemy II under Sumeragi's orders.

Return to Lagrange 3

Ptolemy II and it's crew prepare to return to space. Sumeragi predicted that they will encounter an inescapable situation by A-Laws in a matter of 12 hours. There was also a need for repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and picking up the new support units from Lagrange 3. Feldt and Meileina prepares for atmospheric exit sequence.

Neil's Death & Avengeance

Lockon and Tieria walked into the briefing room to continue about Ali Al-Saachez. Tieria told Lyle that Ali was the Gundam pilot who took Neil's life. After learning the details leading to Neil's death, he couldn't help but chuckle to know his brother put his grudge above changing the world (a nostalgic characteristic of Neil's). Tieria wondered Lyle's reaction a problem against his brother, but Lyle said he respected him. He then said, "Our family died over 10 years ago. I can't brood over it as much as he did." Setsuna then asked Lyle, "Even if that nemesis is in front of you right now?" Tieria and Allelujah wanted to stop Setsuna from mentioning the subject, but he felt it was something that must be said. Setsuna explained to Lyle that he was formally KPSA, the same group that involved his family's death. He tells him how his comrades infiltrated places for suicide attacks. One of his comrades blew up the very building that killed Lockon's family. Setsuna felt if he had stopped his comrades from those suicide missions, Lockon/Neil wouldn't have become a Gundam Meister and died in battle. Lockon replied, "Even if you had stopped them that time, terrorism would still continue. There's no changing that. It's all in the past. There's no point in moping over what's already happened. That's right. We're not fighting fo the past, we're fighting for the future."

Trans-Am Launch

Ptolemy II was under attack as they prepared for atmospheric exit. To ensure the safety of the ship and its crew, Sumeragi had Lockon/Cherudim, Allelujah/Arios, and Tieria/Seravee activate their Trans-Am Systems to enhance the propulsion and GN Field of Ptolemy II to launch into space. After a rocky entry into space, their Trans-Am Systems deactivated when they were under attack by A-Laws forces. Lockon/Cherudim, Allelujah/Arios, and Tieria/Seravee couldn't sortie until their GN Drives recharged. Fortunately, Setsuna/00 sortied during atmosphere exit (in anticipation of A-Laws) and saved the day.

Innovator Midway Encounter

While all the Gundams were under maintenance/repairs, a tactical alert informed the crew that an unknown MS unit at incredible speed was approaching. Lyle couldn't sortie yet because of Cherudim's incomplete repairs. Setsuna/00 sortied first and engaged the mysterious new A-Laws model (Bring Stability/GNZ-005 Garazzo). As Bring/Garazzo fought Setsuna/00, Lockon/Cherudim sortied to assist Setsuna/00. Lockon/Cherudim fired up on Bring/Garazzo, but the MS evaded all weapons fire and fled. Lockon/Cherudim and Setsuna/00 returned to Ptolemy II to continue their travel to Lagrange 3.

Maintenance at L3

Lockon and the rest of the Ptolemy crew entered the L3 base after docking. Lockon was introduced to Linda Vashti (Ian's wife and Meleina's mom) and Anew Returner. While inside the control hanger, Lockon was introduced to the Gundam's new support units, 0 Raiser and GN Archer.

Destroy Memento Mori

Lockon and the rest of the group had a meeting, sensors have detected an unusual heat signature. When the crew gathered to see the anomaly, Sumeragi confirmed it was a caused by a satellite weapon (Memento Mori). Sumeragi made the decision to destroy the Federation's satellite weapon as soon as work on Ptolemy II is complete.

Innovator Revelation

As the crew was about to prepare for Memento Mori, Tieria stopped everyone to reveal the existence of Innovator and their intentions. The crew finally learned of the shadow group of living bio-terminals that was responsible for creating Team Trinity, the three Throne Gundams, and 30 GN-X units with false GN Drives to the United Nations. Lyle asked why didn't Tieria say anything sooner. Tieria reasoned his silence was because he was conflicted as Innovator claimed to follow Aeolia Schenberg's plan. Setsuna announced with confidence, "I'll destroy them...I'll defeat A-Laws and exterminate Innovator...I will, through my own will."-the crew concurs with his sentiment and Lyle reluctantly agrees.

A-Laws Preemptive Strike

Lyle was talking to Anew, regarding the new upgrades to Cherudim and Seravee. Lyle thought this would be the last time to see Anew and hoped to talk with her a little more, but to Lyle's surprise, Anew said she'll be boarding the Ptolemy II. Lyle was happy to hear she'll be joining their group. Lyle suggested they head off to the bridge, but Anew spaced off (she was being contacted by Revive Revival through quantum brainwaves) and Lyle thought she was only being nervous. As they were heading to the bridge, A-Laws began launching GN Missiles to L3 base and Lyle headed to the hanger to sortie.

Lockon/Cherudim sortied along with the rest of the Gundams to anticipate A-Laws. Lockon/Cherudim and Tieria/Seravee defended Ptolemy II's position as it heads out to battle. While having difficulty in shooting down the agile GN-X III's and Aheads, Sumeragi gave orders for Lockon/Cherudim and Tieria/Seravee to provide backup to ensure Saji/0 Raiser reaches to Setsuna/00. Lockon/Cherudim and Tieria/Seravee helped clear a path for 0 Raiser to dock with 00 Gundam.

While Lockon/Cherudim was rapid firing several GN-X IIIs (GN Sniper Gun II, sub-machine gun mode), Patrick/GN-X III attacked him from behind. Haro warned him, but didn't react fast enough to prevent the destruction of his GN Sniper Gun II. Patrick/GN-X III attacked Lockon/Cherudim with a beam saber, but Lockon/Cherudim blocked the attack with the axe part of his GN Pistol II. To Lockon's surprise, the attack was actually a distraction and he fell into a pincer attack. Two GN-X III appeared on each side of Cherudim, ready to eliminate Lockon/Cherudim. Setsuna/00 Raiser destroyed the two GN-X IIIs and Lockon/Cherudim punched Patrick's MS head off. After the defeat of Gadessa and Garazzo, a recall command was made by A-Laws and Lockon/Cherudim returned to Ptolemy II.

Advising Setsuna

Lockon/Lyle was walking pass the hanger control room when he heard an argument between Setsuna and Saji (read Fighting for Saji for more details). Setsuna suggested Saji to fight to win back Louise, but Saji can't stand violence and didn't want to risk hurting Louise either. Setsuna's insistence provoked Saji to punch him to the ground and left in anger, Lyle walked in to talk.

Setsuna tells Lyle his eavesdropping is a bad habit, but Lyle explains he happens to overhear the conversation. Lockon told Setsuna's conversation with Saji was awkward as he could've simply suggested to Saji, "I'll do the fighting. Even if I can't persuade you, I'll bring back the girl from A-Laws any means necessary." Setsuna responded, "I'm not going limit the possibilities to the best case scenario." Lockon pointed out his eagerness to help Saji suggest otherwise. Lockon asked if this was atoning for his past and Setsuna said, "It's not about the past. This is for the future". Later, Ptolemy II and crew Trans-Am to Memento Mori.

Battle of Memento Mori

As Ptolemy II heads to Memento Mori, the crew noticed the satellite laser cannon firing it's third shot. The crew was surprised the weapon could fire into space as well. Tieria wondered what was the Federation aiming at and Lyle told them the target was a Katharon space fleet. Setsuna/00 Raiser sortied ahead to assist Katharon and retrieved tactical data pertaining Memento Mori. While analyzing the tactical data, the crew mysteriously received schematics from Wang Liu Mei's agent (Nena Trinity). Feldt discovered a weakness in Memento Mori, the electromagnetic photon resonance chamber. Sumeragi decided to exploit that weakness by plowing through Memento Mori's blind spot and through A-Laws' forces to destroy the satellite cannon. Once Ptolemy II and crew reached in a specific range of Memento Mori, Sumeragi had each of the Meisters/Gundams execute their specific roles in her battle plan.

Lockon/Cherudim defended Ptolemy II by activating Trans-Am and utilizing the GN Shield Bits for the first time. Because Allelujah/Arios is dedicating all its Trans-Am power to propel Ptolemy II towards Memento Mori, Ptolemy II had no GN Field to defend itself and needed Cheridum's GN Shield Bits for defense/offense. The GN Shield Bits took heavy abuse, only about 1/4 of the bits remained to defend Ptolemy II towards the near end of their charge and Lockon was concerned the bits wouldn't last long. Soon as Tieria/Seravee reached in firing range, Tieria/Seravee activated Trans-Am to fire a Hyper Burst particle beam upon Memento Mori. Ptolemy II followed the blast with a salvo of GN Missiles, but Memento Mori still stands. Lockon/Cherudim then used Seravee's back as stabilizer and used the holographic targeting system to snipe the satellite cannon's electromagnetic photon resonance chamber. Using the last of Trans-Am power, Lockon/Cherudim fired and destroyed Memento Mori.

Crashed & Hunted on Earth

Just as the Ptolemy II crew enjoyed their victory over destroying Memento Mori, Innovators came for a surprise attack at their weakest moment. Bring/Garazzo, Revive/Gadessa, and Divine/Empress attacked Ptolemy II and breached the port stern. With all the Gundams still recharging their GN particles from the Memento Mori battle, there was no chance to retaliate. Ptolemy II used the inertia of their assault to speed their descent to Earth while releasing a smoke screen to partially blind the Innovators and exaggerated the damage they've sustained. The ship and crew survived crash landing back on Earth and began emergency repairs. With the exception of functional engines, their weapons, navigation, and communications have been badly damaged. On top of that, Setsuna/00 Raiser got separated from the group during their Innovators attack. Ptolemy II is now relying on the camouflage system to keep them temporarily safe from A-Laws detection as they try to restore the mothership to working order. Unknown to the crew, A-Laws and Innovators are secretly tracking their position through Anew Returner.

Anew's Concern

As the crew performed maintenance and repairs on Ptolemy II, Lyle/Gene 1 makes a phone call to Katharon. Gene 1 updated Katharon on the destruction of Memento Mori and mentions the possibility of needing their assistance in a worst case scenario. As Lockon finished his business, Anew Returner walks up behind him and wonders who he was talking to. Lockon brushed it off as "minor business". Anew then tells Lockon she's worried. Anew wondered, "How were A-Laws able to tell so precisely where the Ptolemaios would be?" Lockon responded, "I see. So you're suspicious of me, Ms. Returner?" Anew replies, "Of course no. The question is just on my mind." The conversation became lighter as Anew tells Lockon to call her Anew (as to Ms. Returner) and Lockon tells her to call him Lyle.

Innovator Attack

Lockon later detected two unconfirmed mobile suits heading their way and informs Sumeragi. She dispatches Allelujah/Arios and Tieria/Seravee to intercept them. Allelujah/Arios intercepted Revive/Gadessa while Tieria/Seravee intercepted Bring/Garazzo once again; Lockon stayed behind to guard Ptolemy II. After the fight was over, Lockon made arrangements with Katharon to rendezvous with their rebel European cell for resupply.

Coup d'état Save

After Katharon resupplied Ptolemy II, the ship and crew headed towards the coast. Not long after, there was a tactical alert, A-Laws have found them again. As Lockon scrambled for battlestations, he reflected out loud, "It's exactly like what Anew said, the nemey knows exactly where we are." A-Laws have launched a heavy assault force, consisting of A-Laws (GN-X IIIs and Aheads) and Innovators MS (Revive/Gadessa, Healing/Gadessa, and Divine/Empress) units, a total of 36 enemy units along with a mobile armor (Empress). While the Gundams hold off A-Laws, Ptolemy II and crew take cover in the mountainous terrain for limited protection.

Lockon/Cherudim performed a preemptive strike against A-Laws. Using Trans-Am, Cherudim's range extended beyond A-Laws' and Innovators firing range to reduce the numbers of enemy MS units. As Cherudim's GN particles were spent, Allelujah/Arios and Tieria/Seravee would follow up and face the brunt of the assault. Both Tieria/Seravee and Allelujah/Arios shot down several A-Laws units, but Innovators gave them the greatest challenge. Tieria/Seravee was forced to use GN Field as A-Laws and Innovators heavily fired upon him, preventing Tieria/Seravee to counterattack. Divine/Empress came within combat range and fired a taser weapon that can breach Seravee's GN Field. Allelujah/Arios attempted to assist Tieria/Seravee, only to be tased himself. Divine/Empress successfully held down both Tieria/Seravee and Allelujah/Arios with his taser weapon while the rest of A-Laws attempts to finish off Ptolemy II. Lockon/Cherudim was still hiding behind the mountain, unable to assist because GN particle recharge is still incomplete after Trans-Am. Lockon/Cherudim had his own troubles as A-Laws enemy units were raining beam fire upon him at his disadvantage. Just as the situation looks bleak, a sudden A-Laws recall order was made. AEU's orbital elevator has just been occupied by a rogue faction of the Federation army, coup d'état.

Lockon and the rest of the group eventually learned of the coup d'état at the AEU orbital elevator in Africa. Everyone believes that heading there is the best place to find Setsuna as he's likely to do the same. Once the crew reached in proximity of the AEU elevator, Setsuna/00 Raiser was found engaging Mr. Bushido/Masurao. Lockon/Cherudim, Allelujah/Arios, and Tieria/Seravee all quickly sortied, activated their Trans-Am Systems and attacked Mr. Bushido/Masurao to fend him off. The Meisters were glad to greet Setsuna. Setsuna asked, "Is everyone ok?"-in a weakened/faint voice. The Meisters wondered if something was wrong when Setsuna/00 Raiser began to fall. Lockon/Cherudim and Allelujah/Arios carried Setsuna/00 Raiser back to Ptolemy for medical aid.

Break Pillar Incident

While Setsuna was recovering in Ptolemy, Sumeragi dispatched the Meisters to intervene the standoff between the ESF-Army, ESF-Coup faction, and Katharon over the AEU elevator.

Battle at AEU Elevator

As the 3 Meisters head towards the orbital elevator, they noticed Katharon forces fleeing from the elevator. ESF forces fired upon Katharon MS units and Lyle couldn't stand the sight of his brothers getting killed and charged. Against Tieria's and Allelujah's heed(s), Lockon/Cherudim impulsively charged into the battlefield to shoot down as many ESF-Army MS units as possible. As Lockon/Cherudim fired at ESF MS units, Allelujah/Arios and Tieria/Seravee provided backup in the battle. While everyone was fighting, Lockon and everyone momentarily paused as they noticed falling debris from the elevator. Seconds later, Sumeragi made a public announcement to everyone:

"To all units within our current airspace: I'm transferring data over all the visible signals. Please destroy all pillar fragments entering the airspace indicated in the data. Below that space are densely populated areas. At this rate, millions of people will die. So I plead you, help save everyone!"

Soon as the message was over, Lockon/Cherudim, Allelujah/Arios, and Tieria/Seravee quickly flew upwards to shoot down the incoming debris. As the number of debris increased, Lockon/Cherudim couldn't keep up with the numbers and had Haro dispatch the GN Shield Bits to help him shoot down as many fragments as possible. Lockon/Cherudim fired all of his GN Missiles to prevent incoming debris to crash upon the major populace, but he couldn't catch up with one particular fragment that was about to impact a building. To his surprise, remaining Katharon MS forces came forward to aid in the battle and shot down the debris before impact. In an unusual situation, all opposing forces temporarily united in saving the civilians from the falling pillar fragments. Soon as Setsuna/00 Raiser returned from destroying the second Memento Mori, Lockon/Cherudim and Allelujah/Arios activated their Trans-Am to continue defending the African populace. After several hours of shooting down the falling debris to protect the civilians, Lockon/Cherudim and the rest of the Meisters regrouped to Ptolemy and evaded enemy forces.

Post Break Pillar Seclusion

After the battle, Lockon and the rest of the Ptolemy crew went under the radar for several months from Federation forces. With the Federation Army under direct control from A-Laws and haven't recovered from previous battles, the Ptolemy crew went into seclusion until they could be at full strength once again. In between this time, Lockon and the Ptolemy crew was attacked more than 20 times due to Anew's presence with the group. Revive Revival was able to use her as a Innovator homing beacon to locate them. The series of assaults slowed them down, but they were able to gradually resume normal operations. In between the last 4 months, Lyle and Anew's mutual attraction blossomed into a secret romantic relationship. For unknown reasons, both Lyle and Anew kept their relationship a secret and continued to pretend they're in a platonic/professional relationship until recently. After 4 months, Celestial Being is in space again and have returned to fighting strength to combat A-Laws. Their first objective after their hiatus is to destroy the 3rd Memento Mori.

Destroy Memento Mori No.3

Lockon/Cherudim and the rest of the Gundam Meisters sortied to take down Memento Mori. Lockon/Cherudim and Tieria/Seravee teamed up for a pincer attack with Setsuna/Saji/00 Raiser and Allelujah/Soma/Archer Arios. Lockon/Cherudim and Tieria/Seravee attacked from long range shooting while Setsuna/Saji/00 Raiser and Allelujah/Soma/Archer Arios closed the distance to destroy Memento Mori. After Setsuna/Saji/00 Raiser successfully destroyed Memento Mori with Trans-Am Riser, the Meisters finished off remaining forces and returned to Ptolemy.

Allelujah's Dilemma

Shortly after returning to Ptolemy, Lockon walked into the MS hanger to see Soma angrily yelling at Allelujah and charging through Lockon (he dodged). Ever since the death of Sergei Smirnov, Marie has reverted back into Soma Peries and been on a personal warpath against A-Laws to avenge the fallen Colonel. The two went to the MS hanger observation room to talk about the situation with Saji nearby to listen on their chat. Allelujah tells Lockon, "Even though I promised the Colonel I would never let her fight again...I..." Lockon responds, "Just give her some space for a while. She needs time to put her feelings in order." Allelujah retorts, "But I'm putting her in dang(er)-" Lockon tells him, "Don't force your thoughts on her. If you think it over carefully, you'll understand. The feelings of that girl, who says she wants to fight." Lockon then grabbed his helmet and left Allelujah to think things over as he heads to his room.

Taking Back Veda

With the ESF-Army merged into A-Laws, A-Laws is now the single largest military force in the solar system. Setsuna, Tieria, and the bridge crew talked about a means to turn the tide of the battle and thought about re-acquiring Veda; they don't know where Veda is located (moon terminal). In order to find Veda, they would need to ask an Innovator(s) about the whereabouts of Veda. Sumeragi decided to take the idea into action, to capture an Innovator(s) as an overall plan to take Veda back into Celestial Being control.

Loving the Enemy

While the bridge crew talks about a means to capture an Innovator(s), Lyle is in his room with Anew. Anew is cuddling up on Lyle's chest (both in their shirts) as his thoughts wander. Anew asked Lyle about his older twin brother, Neil. Lyle replied, "I don't really remember him. When I got to junior high school, I went to a boarding house." "Why go to a boarding house", Anew wondered. Lyle replied, "I couldn't stand being compared to my genius brother. Rather than confront that, I chose to run away" Anew pointed out, "But you both became a Gundam Meister, just like your brother." Lyle smirked at the irony, but he replied, "Our motives were different. Speaking of which, I never asked you. What about your family, Anew?" Anew tried to answer, but her head started to hurt just thinking about it (because she never had family and her memories/experiences were implanted). Lockon got up and hugged her (thinking it was just too painful for her to mention) and told her, "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. You're here now, Anew. That's enough for me." Lyle and Anew started kissing when Revive Revival connected with Anew through quantum brainwave contact. Lockon noticed Anew zoned out and started to shake her while calling out her name, "Anew!" After Anew was conscious again, Anew was dazed and confused. Lyle was just relieved she was OK and said, "Don't get weirded out while I'm in the middle of kissing you!" Anew apologized and hugged him, Lyle saw her Innovator eyes and strongly suspects she's the mole in their ranks. Shortly after, the crew was on tactical alert and everyone had to prepare to battle.

As Anew headed towards the bridge, Lyle wanted to talk to her, but dropped the matter to sortie. As Lockon/Cherudim prepares to launch, he calls for Anew over the com and tells her, "I love you!" To Anew's embarrassment, the whole bridge crew now knows of their relationship. Lasse comments, "You really are a sniper!" Sumeragi wanted to know when did they started. Meleina was excited, loudly saying, "Amazing, the flowers of love are blooming!" Feldt congratulated Anew as Lockon observed everyone's reaction over the com. Blushing and unable to properly respond, she tells Lyle, "That's enough, just go!" Lockon/Cherudim happily launched to engage A-Laws. As Lockon/Cherudim fly towards the battlefield, Lyle thoughts was on Anew.

Capture Innovator Operation

Sumeragi gave a quick debriefing over their impending battle, warning them of their numbers and reinforcements before they broke off to engage individual targets. While engaging A-Laws, Lockon/Cheridum and Allelujah/Soma/Archer Arios was actively engaging the enemy GNXs at different locations in the battlefield to support Ptolemy. Lockon/Cherudim deployed his GN Shield Bits in the fight as he's facing superior numbers. Midway in the battle, Lockon/Cherudim his GN Sniper Gun was destroyed in battle. To compensate, he had Haro switch the GN Shield Bits to Assault Mode and used his GN Pistols to simultaneously take out 4 GNXs. As he continues to battle, he comments, "If I beat you all down, then it won't matter who Anew is!"

As the battle drew to a close, Saji was observing the battle between Soma/GN Archer and Andrei/Ahead. He couldn't keep quiet anymore and shouted over the com for Soma to "STOP!". Lockon and the rest of the crew heard Saji plead, "Just stop already! Nothing will change. Even if you take your revenge, it won't bring anyone back. It just increases the suffering. Don't this is just making everyone more twisted...you won't get anywhere. You won't move forward..." The battle was over and Tieria successfully captured Revive Revival to ask him for the location of Veda.

Back on board Ptolemy, Lockon, Sumeragi, and the rest of the Gundam Meisters were present to interrogate their captured Innovator about Veda. Unknown to them, while Revive Revival introduced himself and talked to Sumeragi, he was influencing Anew with his quantum brainwaves in attempt free himself, escape with Anew, and take 00 Gundam to Ribbons.

Losing Anew

When questioned about the whereabouts of Veda, Revive claims not to know, and he chuckles at the idea that Celestial Being is going to recapture it because Veda was originally created for the Innovators to use. That leads to Sumeragi asking what the Innovators plan to do with Veda, so Revive replies mysteriously that it’s for the upcoming dialogue. He comments on the limit of humans when the others don’t understand him, and that prompts Lyle to say that Revive doesn’t seem omnipotent since he got caught. Revive surprises everyone by revealing that he got caught on purpose, and as if on cue, Feldt suddenly informs them over the com system that Anew shot Lasse and took Mileina hostage. Everyone is surprised to hear that Anew is an Innovator, and Revive takes it as his cue to leave. Setsuna tries to stop him, but Revive explains that he and Anew are of the same type, so their thoughts can be connected via quantum brain waves, and if something happened to him, then the hostage’s safety could not be guaranteed. Sumeragi and the others thus have no choice but to let Revive go, and moments later, the ship’s systems go offline thanks to a virus.

Anew is currently forcing Mileina to bring out the 00 Gundam, but as they then move towards the hanger, they are stopped by Soma. Soma sees the Innovators as being behind everything and blames them for Sergei’s death, however before she can do anything, Setsuna and Lyle find them. Lyle immediately makes a plea for Anew to stop, and guessed from her body language that she still care for him. He smugly asked if she intended to dump him and leave him behind; Anew asked for him to join her and to see the world changed; surprisingly, he accepts her offer to come with her. Setsuna takes the cue to shoot Lyle, and Anew’s genuine concern for him opens up an opportunity for him to grab Mileina. Anew is forced to run, and instead of immediately pursuing, Setsuna first checks up on Lyle who turns out to just have a bruise on his shoulder from where the bullet grazed him. Revive meanwhile makes his way into the hanger and launches with the 0 Raiser. Unable to get the 00 Gundam, Anew has to settle for just a shuttle. Lyle and Setsuna pursue in their respective Gundams, and they’re able to catch up easily by using the Cherudim’s Trans-Am. They also have an additional trump card: a Haro inside the 0 Raiser that initiates the docking sequence with the 00 Gundam.

Revive has no control over the 00 Raiser and realizes that he has to give up on the 0 Raiser. He does, however, use a rifle that he brought along to shoot up the cockpit and make his escape, and Anew subsequently rescues him in the shuttle. Lyle points the Cherudim’s gun at the shuttle, but in his head, he suddenly hears Anew ask if he’s going to shoot her. He tries to tell himself to fire, but after remembering all of the memories he had with her, Lyle is unable. Unbeknownst to him, as Anew flies away, she notes that she really does love him.

Back on the Ptolemaios, Setsuna finds Lyle frustrated over Anew’s betrayal and he tells Lyle that Anew will show up on the battlefield. Lyle claims that he understands that their enemies are the Innovators and that he’ll do what he needs to, but Setsuna tells him not to try to act tough. Feeling that Lyle doesn’t have any reason to fight Anew, Setsuna vows to pull the trigger if that time comes, and he doesn’t mind if Lyle resents him afterward. As expected, the Innovators do attack, and they bring along Louise onboard the Regnant and Anew onboard her own custom mobile suit. Hilling isn’t expecting a hard fight because of the conditions the Ptolemaios and the 00 Gundam are in, and their goal is still to capture the latter. Celestial Being faces them with only the Cherudim, Archer Arios, and Seravee Gundam. What surprises the Gundam Meisters is that the Regnant’s main cannon beams are able to bend at sharp angles, making them very hard to avoid.

Not concerned about the mobile armor, Lyle is instead looking for Anew, and he soon finds himself clashing with her. Though not afraid to shoot at each other, neither of them do much damage to each other’s mobile suits at first. With Lyle occupied, Allelujah, Tieria, and Soma struggle against their opponents, and when Tieria fires a massive blast with the Seravee, Louise easily blocks it with the Regnant’s GN field. The Arios then gets hit and suffers quite a bit of damage. Lyle meanwhile combats Anew’s GN Fangs with his own Shield Bits, and he questions why they have to fight. Anew’s answer is that it’s because he’s a human and she’s an Innovator. When Lyle wonders if their feelings for each other were lies, Anew doesn’t answer him, so he initiates the Cherudim’s Trans-Am and pounds her mobile suit with beam fire. Instead of finishing her off though, he rips open the front of her mobile suit and tells her that he’s making her his woman again, even if she’s an Innovator. Moved to tears, Anew almost gets out of her cockpit, but at the last moment, Ribbons takes over and has her strike him back while he’s most vulnerable. Ribbons has her destroys most of the Cherudim’s Shield Bits, all while saying that the Innovators are the ones who will lead mankind. Ribbons believes that Innovators are the superior species, and he can’t stand them being thought of as equal to humans.

Lyle begs for Anew to stop, but she doesn’t let up and finally charges at him to finish him off. Before she can reach him though, a beam suddenly pierces through her mobile suit. It came from the just-arrived 00 Raiser in Trans-Am mode, and the particles it spreads as it passes them sends Lyle and Anew into the dream-like world. In each other’s arms, Anew tells Lyle that she’s glad she was an Innovator because otherwise she wouldn’t have been able to meet him, and without him, she feels that she wouldn’t have had the will power to live. She’s also glad to hear Lyle confirm to her that they understood each other, and moments later, her mobile suit explodes.

Back on board Ptolemy, Lyle confronted Setsuna and repeatedly punched him in the face. Setsuna didn't bother to retaliate and let Lyle beat him. Lyle cried out, "You bastard! You bastard! You killed Anew!!" Tieria told Lyle to "Stop it!" Lyle distraughtly replied, "Shut up! She was coming back! She was coming back to us not as an Innovator, but as a human! This is all your fault!!" Lyle kept hitting Setsuna until he broke down on Setsuna's chest.

Rendezvous at Lagrange 5

Ptolemy received a mysterious message to rendezvous at Lagrange 5. The crew was suspicious of the message, but Setsuna insisted to head towards there to meet the unknown messenger (Wang Liu Mei). With Ian's support to L5 (another resource satellite) for maintenance and upgrades, Sumeragi relented to head to L5. Due to A-Laws still in pursuit of them, Sumeragi suggested Setsuna sortie ahead to meet their mysterious messenger while the Ptolemy distracts their pursuers with a longer alternative route. Lyle intercepted Setsuna in the corridor.

Setsuna wanted to say something, but had no words. Lyle started to say, "Sorry about before. I got too emotional. I'm not fit to be a Meister" Setsuna wanted to explain himself, but Lyle continued, "I'm gonna fight. I'll fight." Setsuna replied, "I understand", and he continued his way to 00 Gundam. Lyle started to reflect, "Yeah, that's right...I'll beat those damned Innovators to a pulp...not as Katharon or even as Celestial Being. I'll beat them of my own volition. However...!" At the end of his thoughts, Lyle pulled out his gun and pointed at Setsuna. Lyle's anger over what Setsuna did to Anew was still not over, he gently pulled the trigger and struggled within himself, but his hand kept shaking. In the end he let Setsuna off. He lowered his gun and started to think about his brother.

Several days later, Setsuna returned from his mission to space colony Eclipse and Lyle attended the group meeting. Setsuna gave the encrypted message to Feldt to have the coordinates decrypted. As they waited for the decryption, he reported to the crew he received the information from Wang Liu Mei. Shortly, Feldt decrypted the coordinates and revealed Veda’s location, the dark side of the moon (Lagrange 2). When nothing was detected upon sensors, Sumeragi suspected there was more behind the blank image and had Meleina superimposed their star charts over the current coordinates. The results show a large area of space that was blank where there was supposed to be stars. After calculating the discrepancy, Feldt revealed the measurement to be fifteen kilometers in diameter. It’s suspected amongst the crew that something very large is cloaked and hidden near the moon.

In between their meeting, Ptolemy was expected to rendezvous with their lab transport ship for overall maintenance/upgrades to their Gundams and re-supply for the ship. The ship arrived in between their meeting and Cherudim received six GN Rifle Bits as part of its overall maintenance/upgrades.

As their meeting continued, sensors revealed A-Laws have begun amassing upon their intended destination. This only further solidified their beliefs that Veda is indeed hidden at the moon. The problem is now dealing with A-Laws and Innovators to recover Veda. Each and one of the pilots spoke their feelings and sense of commitment for their upcoming mission. Lyle told the crew his reasons are to overthrow the Federation government and shoot down Innovators. There was an additional reason, but Lyle never went into detail, suggestively revenge. Setsuna told the crew, “We’ll change. If we don’t change, we’ll never reach the future.” With everyone united to recover Veda, Sumeragi announced the crew will soon battle soon as maintenance and resupply is completed. There was still concern over their ability to succeed as they are short of a pilot, but Lasse just returned for duty. With the crew now ready, Lyle and the Ptolemy crew head towards Lagrange 2.

Fight Towards Lagrange 2

Sometime later, the crew had reached in range of their destination and the Meisters prepared to sortie. Lockon prepared to launch with the new GN Rifle Bits for battle. As he is about to launch from the catapult, he says, "Anew, I'm gonna do it. Cherudim, Lockon Stratos, aim and fire! and launched for battle. Lockon/GN-006GNHW/R Cherudim Gundam GNHW/R launched and soon engaged a large MS force of GNX and Ahead units.

Each of the Meisters began engaging their targets. Lockon/Cherudim fired long range beams with his sniper gun and right-shoulder rifle bit to prevent A-Laws breaking through to Ptolemy. As he shoots them down, he comments, "I'll make it through with these new weapons!" The first wave was quickly defeated, but the difficulty of the fight increased. Setsuna/00 Raiser prevented 3 A-Laws battlecruisers from completing a suicide run to Ptolemy. To everyone's surprise, the battlecruisers were decoys and was filled with particle disruptors that created a large anti-particle field. A second wave of A-Laws soon followed in larger numbers and GN Missiles launchers.

Due to the anti-particle field, Lockon/Cherudim was unable to fire with any of his beam weapons and forced to resort to melee combat. As the battle intensified, Lockon/Cherudim noticed Tieria/Seravee was in trouble as a GNX-III was about to joust, he deployed the shield bits to protect Tieria/Seravee and knocked off the enemy; his save allowed A-Laws break through their defensive line to attack Ptolemy. Lockon/Cherudim couldn't catch up with the enemy units that broke through as there were still a heavy barrage of missiles firing at them from all directions. Lockon/Cherudim used his GN Pistol II (axe form) to cleave off enemy units, but still suffered from missile hits. Just as their situation looks bleak, Katharon along with the ESF Coup d'état Faction appeared to assist. As Lockon/Cheriudim fired his GN Missiles against several GNX units, he commented, "I'm glad you came! Great timing!" The second wave was eventually defeated and Lockon/Cherudim charged through the anti-particle field to combat the remains of A-Laws. Lockon/Cherudim targeted the capital ships as Katharon and Coup forces handled A-Laws' GNX units.

Over an open channel, Kati Mannequin told the Meisters to focus on defending their ship. Seconds later, Setsuna warned everyone on the com, "Attention all ships! Take evasive action immediately! It's coming! Incoming attack! Some sinister light!" A large and powerful particle beam just fired near the moon (CBS Celestial Being). The particle beam fired in the middle of the combat zone, unbiasedly taking out various MS units and capital ships from all sides. Lockon/Cherudim flew parallel to the beam attack without suffering damage. In the middle of confusion, a giant asteroid ship decloaked before everyone, CBS Celestial Being. Sensors revealed that Veda is held within Celestial Being. Sumeragi announces to allied forces of their intention of retrieving Veda and taking down Celestial Being. Celestial Being charges forward to their final battle.

Last Mission

Ptolemy and Meisters are now cruising towards Celestial Being. As they are about to confront their greatest challenge, Sumeragi tells everyone over the com, "Everyone, let's go! To atone for how we changed the world. Let's set things right! Let's release the world from the Innovators' rule and change the world again! For the future! Last mission, start!" Lyle and the rest of Meisters received instructions from Sumeragi to destroy the gun turrets to ensure their invasion route. The Meisters acknowledge their command(s) and began firing upon Celestial Being.

Lockon/Cherudim engaged Trans-Am and deployed the shield bits in attempt to shoot down the turrets without receiving incoming fire. The turret's firepower was too strong and destroyed 7 of his 9 bits and took two hits in the MS torso. Tieria/Seravee came in with his GN Field to shield Lockon as he recovered. The Meisters made progress in destroying the right side turrets of Celestial Being. As Celestial Being cleared half the way to Celestial Being, an unknown MS force sortied out of colony ship, Gaga Forces. The Gaga units quickly engaged their Trans-Am and began their kamikaze attack. The Meisters immediately went on the defensive to protect Ptolemy.

Lockon/Cherudim and the Meisters continued to shoot down as many Gaga units as possible, but were still overwhelmed by their overwhelming numbers. Ptolemy was almost lost if it weren't for the lab transport crew sacrificing themselves, using the ship to shield against the assault. Combat relief came when the ESF Coup d'état Faction and Katharon provided fire coverage to allow the Meisters and Ptolmey to charge through Celestial Being. Soon as Ptolemy made it into Celestial Being's ship dock, each of the Meisters split up to invade the mothership. Lockon/Cherudim penetrated into on of the MS docking hangers and encountered Ali Al-Saachez/GNW-20000 Arche Gundam.

Ali/Arche dispatched his GN Fangs against Lockon/Cherudim, Lockon countered by having Haro dispatch the GN Rifle Bits. Both opposing bits smashed into each other, leaving the match a draw. Ali/Arche then charged in for melee combat and disarmed Cherudim's GN Sniper Gun II. As Ali/Arche goes for a second swing and said, "War really is best fought hand-to-hand! Lockon/Cherudim grabbed his two pistols and said, "Keep talking!" Lockon/Cherudim returned fire, but the shots didn't cause much damage. Ali/Arche moved forward to chop down Lockon/Cherudim, but Lockon/Cherudim used both his pistols to block the attack. As Ali/Arche pushes down on Lockon/Cherudim, he tells Lyle, "Another one bites the dust, eh, Gundam!?" Lockon replied, "I'm gonna beat the shit out of you!" Lockon/Cherudim pushed Arche Gundam's GN Buster Sword II away and fired on Ali/Arche. Ali/Arche quickly lowered down to make a back right MS leg swing, extending his foot beam saber, and cut off Cherudim's right MS knee. Ali/Arche followed his back MS leg spin with a sword hit on Cherudim's chest. Ali/Arche then tried to cut down Lockon/Cherudim, but Lockon/Cherudim blocked; the maneuver forced Lockon/Cherudim stuck behind a wall. Lockon/Cherudim was able to push back Ali/Arche (due to Setsuna's Trans-Am Burst of GN particles) and go on the offensive.

Ali/Arche was temporarily distracted by the voices of other people (due to 00 Raiser's spread of GN particles) to allow Lockon/Cherudim push back. Lockon's thoughts was heard by Ali as he charged, "A bastard like you took my brother and the others!" The two in engage in MS melee combat again. As Ali/Arche clash blades with Lockon/Cherudim, Ali comments "So you're that guy's little brother!?" Lockon/Cherudim moves his pistol up close blew off Ali's right MS shoulder and arm. At the same time, Lockon/Cherudim answered Ali, "What of it!?" Ali/Arche then levitated a few feet above the floor and launched several beam saber kicks. While beam saber kicking, Ali answered, "He killed me too!" Lockon/Cherudim blocked all of Ali's MS kicks and retorted, "What!? Who the hell are you?" and shot Ali/Arche on the left side of the MS head. Ali replied, "I'm just me!" Ali/Arche grabbed Cherudim's neck and shoved Cherudim to the floor. While Ali/Arche still held down Cherudim, Lockon/Cherudim fired back and said, "I'll beat the shit out of you!" Ali/Arche had the advantage and looked as if he'll win when Arche Gundam suddenly shut down. Unknown to Ali, Tieria remotely controlled Seraphim Gundam and activated Trial System. Arche Gundam was tied to Veda and all of his systems shut down. Lockon/Cherudim took advantage of Arche Gundam's untimely shutdown and blew the MS to the floor. Ali is still trying to get Arche Gundam to activate when he realized Lockon/Cherudim is going to blast him. Lockon/Cherudim smirked over Ali/Arche and said, "I can't blame my big brother. I just can't forgive this guy!" Lockon/Cherudim fired upon the torso area of Arche Gundam to destroy both the MS and pilot. Lockon thought the battle was over, but sensors detected Ali escaping through a doorway. Lockon exited Cherudim to give chase.

Ali was escaping for his life, the left side of his torso was already bleeding. Lockon caught up to Ali and shot his right shoulder. Lockon yelled out, "That's far enough!" Ali dropped his gun and raised his hands. As Lockon held the gun on Ali, he reflected, "This guy...this guy took dad...mom...Amy...and my brother!" Lockon was about to shoot when Anew's words of mutual understanding convinced him to drop his gun. Ali took advantage of Lockon's hesitation and quickly grabbed his gun to shoot Lockon. Lockon reflexes were faster and shot Ali in the head. Lockon shot Ali two more times, left his body in the corridor, and headed back to Cherudim. As Lockon went back, his thoughts were on Anew. Lockon thought, "Anew, thanks to you, I came to believe that a world where people can understand each other is not impossible. That's why, even if the world rejects me, even if they blame me...I'll fight! As a Gundam Meister of Celestial Being."

Final Confrontation

Lockon was resting above his cockpit when he received order from Ptolemy to assist Setsuna. Lockon/Cherudim and Allelujah/Arios met up to help Setsuna. As the reached nearby Celestial Being, Lockon noticed Revive/Gadessa attempted to fire his GN Mega Launcher upon Setsuna/00 Raiser. Lockon/Cherudim sacrificed 3 of his GN Shield Bits to save Setsuna/00 Raiser from certain death. Lockon/Cherudim then broke off to face Revive/Gadessa.

With only one right MS arm and pistol, Lockon/Cherudim engage Revive/Gadessa in a beam shoot out. Lockon/Cherudim fired a few shots, but the blasts were too light and bounced off Gadessa. Revive/Gadessa returned fire with his GN Vulcans, Lockon/Cherudim tried to evade, but received a few hits. Revive/Gadessa and Lockon/Cherudim then tried to flank each others position and returned fire, but both didn't get hit. Lockon/Cherudim then flew over Gadessa's blind spot, fired, and destroyed Gadessa's GN Mega Launcher. As Lockon/Cherudim flew from a distance, Lockon thought out loud, "So this is all the Innovators are without their systems to help them!" Lockon/Cherudim charged in to attack, but Revive/Gadessa fired a barrage with his right GN Vulcan. Lockon/Cherudim attempted to return fire, but the assault damaged his cockpit and his helmet. Lockon also received a head injury and his bleeding forehead has blinded is right eye. Lockon needed a decisive win and asked Haro if Trans-Am is possible. Haro told Lyle it's possible for only a second. Lockon/Cherudim continued to fire back and used the last two of his GN Shield Bits to fire back, but his pistol and bits were destroyed. Revive/Gadessa drew out his beam saber and charged for the final blow. As Gadessa charges in, Lockon/Cherudim activated Trans-Am and ended right behind Revive/Gadessa. Lockon/Cherudim then grabbed his spare pistol, shoved the gun under Gadessa's right torso, and kept firing until Gadessa exploded. The explosion killed Revive and hurdled Lockon/Cherudim into open space. Lockon succumbed to his injuries and became unconscious. After their major battle with Innovators, Lockon and Cherudim were later recovered by Ptolemy crew.

Aftermath

With A-Laws and Innovators defeated, peace as returned throughout the solar system, as a reformed Federation disbands the A-Laws and return the sovereignty to the nations they forced into submission. Lyle along with the Ptolemy crew returned to Earth for some unfinished business. Lyle returned to Ireland to have a gravestone made for Anew and installed next to the Dylandy plot. Before the Dylandy gravestone and Anew's, he silently tells his loved ones, "Dad, Mom...Amy...Brother...I've cut ties with Katharon and will live as a Gundam Meister. I'll face the world as Lockon Stratos. Even if the world turns against me, I'll continue to fight until justice has been served. I still have some time before I head to where you are. Until then, wait for me, Anew." Lyle returns to Ptolemy II and takes the helm with Lasse, returning to space. It's presumed Lockon and the rest of the crew returns to one of their Lagrange point resource satellites for maintenance and rebuilding their organization.
