The Zaku II Dozle Zabi Custom is a customized variant of the MS-06F Zaku II piloted by Space Attack Force Commander Dozle Zabi.

Technology & Combat Characteristics[]

The most famous among the customized Zaku II F-type, this machine was used exclusively by Dozle Zabi, and its cockpit capacity was enlarged to fit his massive body, which is over 2 meters tall. Unlike the normal Zaku II F-type, both of the Zaku II Dozle Zabi Custom's shoulders are equipped with four spikes, while its hand armor has three spikes each. The unique gold engraving on the mobile suit's body was not Dozle's idea, but rather the idea of the technical officer who customized the machine. Although it was originally intended for ceremonial use, Dozle went to the front lines in this machine on the pretext of inspecting the front lines, and participated in actual combat with only a special large heat hawk.

Armaments[]

  • M-120A1 120mm Machine Gun
A standard firearm for Zaku type MS. It has a large drum magazine located at the top, and features a scope and foregrip to enable highly accurate shooting. It can switch modes between single-fire and automatic fire. Although useless against Luna Titanium Alloy, it can still destroy weaker armor material with multiple shots.
  • 360mm Giant Bazooka
The same MS-use bazooka as used by the Dom, it fires rocket-propelled 360mm physical rounds. It is fed by a 10 rounds magazine, and a single round can blow the torso off of an enemy mobile suit.
  • H&L-SB25K/280mmA-P Zaku Bazooka
A portable, physical projectile-type firearm. It is primarily for anti-ship combat and displays its power in hit and run attacks. It can also be used against enemy mobile suits, but it is harder to hit a constantly moving target.
  • Large Heat Hawk
A heat weapon for close combat. The blade is larger than that of the standard model used by the Zaku II. It is also equipped with a spike at its tip. When participating in actual battles, Dozle went out with only this weapon to inspire the morale of the soldiers.
  • Giant Warhammer
A super-sized striking weapon with built-in thrusters. It boasts a high attack power due to its large mass and acceleration by the thrusters.
  • MIP-B6 Cracker Grenade
A multi-warhead grenade. After being thrown at the target, the six protrusions on the cracker's body explode in different directions, dealing damage over a wide area. A flash-type variant also exist, which can temporarily paralyze the sensors of enemy MS.

History[]

MSV[]

Shin Matsunaga was in charge of escorting this machine when Dozle Zabi went on a sortie under the pretext of "battlefield inspection". During the Battle of Solomon, it is said that the entire hangar in which it was stored was burned down in an attack by the Solar System.

MSV-R[]

During the Battle of Loum, Dozle overcame the restraints of his subordinates and participated in actual combat. Afterwards, the machine received modifications such as larger shoulder armor, and was equipped with a giant warhammer. When the Earth Federation Forces attacked Solomon in "Operation Antares", it fought against the Proto G-Fighter and was destroyed. However, Dozle managed to escape and survived.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • In Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt episode 5, two Zaku IIs with similar gold engravings and trims as the Zaku II Dozle Zabi Custom were deployed as Royal Guard units inside A Baoa Qu. However, these units featured the standard Zaku II shoulder armors and without the spikes on their knuckles.
  • In Gundam Evolution, the Mobile Suit is referred to as the Zaku II (Melee Loadout)
