Technology & Combat Characteristics
Similar to the Zaku II and Rick Dom units, some Gelgoogs were modified into MS-14A Gelgoog [Stutzer] versions by remnants of the Zeon forces, as they no longer had any production capabilities for any new mobile suit designs. The Gelgoog "Stutzer" was enhanced with winch units, which were able to launch wire-guided arm parts that could entangle enemy machines with wire, or throw hand grenades at them while the mobile suit itself remained hidden. Additionally, the Stutzer feature extra armor that almost completely covers its upper body, and has the old backpack replaced with special parts. These extra parts contain supplemental thrusters and a propellant tank to increase it's mobility.
- Winch Unit
- Missile Pod
- A basic optional arm-mounted defense armament for many mobile suits. The shield is a thick sheet of armor designed to take severe punishment that would normally destroy a mobile suit. Since the introduction of beam weaponry, shields have been treated with an anti-beam coating allowing it to withstand several beam shots before the coating wears off. Typically physical shields can only take so much damage before they succumb to the pressure and break.
- Wire Cutters
- MNG-110 Beam Rifle
- A large beam rifle specially designed for long range attack, the MNG-110 features a powerful, re-loadable cooling system which enables it to emit rapid-fire beam bursts.
- Ex-T2-2 Beam Bazooka
- A new weapon developed near the end of the war and given to the Rick Dom. It is an experimental beam bazooka, and its use requires the Rick Dom's energy systems to be modified. The bazooka has its own internal reactor, rather than an E-cap, and is, essentially, a Musai deck gun scaled down for mobile suit use. Due to using a reactor rather than an E-cap, the bazooka is capable of a single sustained blast or several short bursts, requiring a lengthy recharge period of approximately 10 minutes before it can be used again.
