The Methuss Kai is a variant of the MSA-005 Methuss from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. It only appears as part of the Zeta Gundam Mobile Suit Variations.

Technology & Combat Characteristics

While the original Methuss didn't perform well in actual combat, Anaheim Electronics still developed some mobile suits based on its design. The first was the Methuss Kai (, "Revision") which closely resembled the Methuss and utilized its speed of mobile armor mode by equipping it with a high mega cannon. The joints of Methuss Kai were also improved to solve the problem of the original's weak body.

Armaments

  • Beam Saber
Beam Saber is a small cylindrical device held in the mobile suit's hands when operated and is powered by an energy capacitor that is recharged from special racks. The beam saber emits a blade of plasma contained by an I-Field and is capable of cutting through almost any metal that has not been treated with anti-beam coating. The Methuss Kai is equipped with two beam sabers.
  • High Mega Cannon
The Methuss is equipped with high mega cannon, and unlike most beam rifles of the day, it draws energy straight from the suit's reactor as opposed to an E-Pac, allowing for an unlimited ammunition. The cannon is capable of being used in both MS and MA mode.

History

Several experimental units were built and sent to Karaba on Earth.
