He also appeared in the ''[[Gundam Legacy]]'' series. ==Background== Mallet Sanguine was a squadron commander and [[Zeon]] captain. He was an ace pilot in charge of the special squadron stationed at [[Granada]] during the [[One Year War]]. His personal machine was the [[Pezun]] Project's [[MS-11 Action Zaku]] and displayed great confidence in his skills on the battlefield. After encountering the Gundam pilots of the Federation assault carrier ''[[SCVA-72 Thoroughbred]]'', he becomes obsessed with destroying the vessel and develops a rivalry with the [[RX-78-4 Gundam Unit 4 "G04"]]'s pilot, [[Luce Kassel]]. After Luce Kassel is killed in action, Sanguine shifts his focus to [[Ford Romfellow]], pilot of the remaining [[RX-78-5 Gundam Unit 5 "G05"]].
