Master Grade (MG) (マスターグレード Masutā Gurēdo) is a line of Gunpla kits of the Mobile Suits in the Gundam meta series. First produced in 1995 as part of the Gundam 15th Anniversary project, the scale for these models is 1/100.
Aside from the Gundam franchise, the Master Grade line has hosted other mecha anime series such as Aura Battler Dunbine and Mobile Police Patlabor. The line also has a spin-off line called Master Grade Figurise, which focuses on character kits for anime titles such as Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, and Tiger & Bunny, as well as tokusatsu titles such as Kamen Rider.
Beginning in 2002, Gundam mecha designer Hajime Katoki began re-designing various suits and releasing them in the Master Grade line under the subline of "Ver. Ka".
Released as part of the Gundam 20th Anniversary Big Bang Project. Features pre-assembled inner frame for legs and waist. The only MG kit designated as "1.5".

First kit to include articulate hands with pegs. Released to coincide with PlayStation 2 game Mobile Suit Gundam: The One Year War. Re-released in 2007 with anime accurate colors.
First Master Grade Ver. 2.0. Released to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and the release of the theatrical compilation trilogy A New Translation. Also available in limited HD Color version. Includes custom launchpad.
Includes extra back skirt parts to create the Kai Kai, as well as an extra chest piece to make the "Skull Heart". Both the XM-X2 Crossbone Gundam X-2 and the XM-X3 Crossbone Gundam X-3 were released as Online Hobby Shop Exclusives.
First MG kit from the Correct Century timeline. Selected by poll to be the 100th MG released. Includes a cow figure to replicate scenes from the anime.
An expansion version called Extreme Blast Mode is also available, with "Wings of Light" effects, beam palm and beam boomerang effects, silver joint coating parts, and large transparent figures of Shinn Asuka and Kira Yamato. Another version called Destiny Gundam Heine Westenfluss Custom was released as a limited Gunpla Expo kit.
First MG released from the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn novel. The Beam Gatling Gun and Armed Armor DE used as additional weapons are sold separately. In 2012, a "Final Battle Ver." of the Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee was released and included a green psychoframe, gold colored decals and a new gold-colored gate for the Banshee parts.
From the Plamo-Kyoshiro series but with the design based on its appearance on Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2. Uses frame from MG-28. An expansion version called Sengoku No Jin is also available. A series of flower-themed stickers was sold as a Chinese exclusive.
Released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Gundam, redesigned to closely resemble the anime line art. There is also a Titanium Finish version that was meant to be a limited edition though it is now regularly sold worldwide as a annual one-kit batch.
First MG kit from the Anno Domini timeline. An expansion version called Ignition Mode is also available, with chrome coating parts on the swords, a LED, and parts to create the GN-001RE Gundam Exia Repair. The kit was remolded in 2010 in Trans-Am colors, and in 2014, the MG GN-001REII Gundam Exia Repair II was released as an Online Exclusive.
Features improved knee and waist articulation from Ver. Ka. An expansion version called HD Color w/ MS Cage variant released at the same time. The Beam Gatling Gun and Armed Armor DE as additional weapons are sold separately.
Color shades slightly brighter than original "Ver.Ka" release. Inner frame changed to medium gray, and also includes a custom mount part for a 1/100 Action Base.

An official "Double Fin Funnel" expansion set is sold separately as an online exclusive, along with effect parts for the Fin Funnels. With the price of 16000 yen, the ν Gundam is the most expensive Titanium Finish version Master Grade model kit.
Includes stand from MG-65, MG-90 (Re-color version) and MG-108. Also includes battery pack to recreate GAT-X105+AQM/E-YM1 Perfect Strike Gundam. The IWSP Pack from MG 90 and 104 and both Sword and Launcher Striker packs from MG-108 are compatible, thought also sold as a P-Bandai exclusive.
First Ver.3.0. Master Grade, part of the evolution of the MG Line, where greater articulation and poseability is offered from previous MG using a new armor on innerframe placement design. An add-on weapons pack includes Gundam Javelin, extra Hyper Bazooka, Gundam Hammer, and a LED is sold separately (everything included on MG 2.0 Ver. except the LED). Released as part of the 35th anniversary of Gundam.
Color variant of MG-169. Includes Ootori pack first seen in the opening of Phase 14 of Destiny Remastered. The Aile Striker pack from MG-169, the IWSP Pack from MG-90 and MG-104, and both Sword and Launcher Striker packs from MG-108 are compatible. A Kira Yamato color variant is available as a P-Bandai exclusive.
