Matias is a character introduced in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Astray.

Personality & Character[]

Matias uses feminine speeches whenever he speaks. He is a very calm and intelligent person, and this is because he was raised to be the leader of The Clan. Although he was aware that his sister was the one who caused him to be ousted from The Clan, he did not harbor much resentment towards her. He viewed his sister's actions as misguided and thinks that the world do not need The Clan.

Skills & Abilities[]

He is a master of intelligence gathering, and managed to create a vast private intelligence network after being ousted from The Clan. This network is superior to most nations' and even rival the one set up by The Clan. When he was with The Clan, he is the most highly skilled person in the organization. It is because of his intelligence and cunning he was able to evade years of assassination attempts ordered by his sister.

History[]

In his youth, Matias was raised to be the leader of The Clan, but was later kicked out of the organization when his true gender was leaked by his younger sister, Matisse. As The Clan had a rule that only females could lead the group, Matisse was chosen to replace Matias. After his ousting, he set up his own intelligence network using the skills he obtained while with The Clan. As a result, he became very wealthy, selling the intelligence gathered to interested parties.

Prior to the First Alliance-PLANT War, Matias was the guardian of the Carbon Human clone Prayer Reverie and the Martian Setona Winters, both of whom he shared a close relationship with. He was the one responsible for hiring Jess Rabble and Kaite Madigan.[1]

After the "Break The World" Incident, Matias committed suicide by self-destructing a Girty Lue-class ship boarded by his sister, Matisse, who also died in the explosion.
