Technology & Combat Characteristics
The only armament of the Gel Finieto was the Mirage Colloid Virus Spreader. It used Mirage Colloid particles to transmit a virus to nearby mobile suit(s), accessing and hijacking their operating system unimpeded by Neutron Jammer interference. The Gel Finieto's pilot could thus control the infected mobile suit(s) and its system as he/she wishes and could also erase Gel Finieto from the mobile suit(s) sensors, rending it "invisible".
Armaments
- The sole weapon of the Gel Finieto, the suit is equipped with six of them (three on each shoulder) and is capable of infecting other MS systems without subject to external interference. However, attacking the virus spreaders will cause the virus' effect to cease and free any suits under it's control. This system is later equipped on ZGMF-X12A Testament Gundam and ZGMF-YX21R Proto-Saviour after they were stolen by EA.
History
The Gel Finieto was a prototype mobile suit developed by the defense conglomerate Actaeon Industries, and was used to test one of the first variations of the Mirage Colloid cloaking device, the Mirage Colloid Virus Spreader. However, it's performance is not much better comapred to existing mobile suits, and so because of this, there was litte military interest in the MS but Eurasian Federation would later used it as a base for developing their own MS. Furthermore, the Mirage Colloid virus spreader technology was later sold to both the Earth Alliance and to ZAFT.
The Gel Finieto later falls into the hands of Kenaf Luchini, a freelance informant. Kenaf subsequently lays a trap for Lowe Guele and Gai Murakumo and took control of their MS, forcing them to fight each other. However during the fight, Lowe shuts down MBF-P02 Astray Red Frame's computer and transfers the control of the MS over to 8, freeing Red Frame from Gel Finieto’s manipulation. Red Frame then slashes at Gel Finieto and caused the virus spreaders to stop functioning, freeing Gai's MBF-P03secondL Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second L from the virus. Gel Finieto is later destroyed by Blue Frame Second L, but Kenaf manages to escape from the MS before the lethal strike hits.
