Technology & Combat Characteristics
A mobile suit developed by the Oakland Newtype Lab for Cyber Newtype pilots, The Gullinbursti is the predecessor of the MSW-004 Gundam ［Kestrel］ before it was obtained by the AEUG. It was created to be a fast and highly maneuverable machine, and ran a total of three generators which were housed in the main body and legs. It uses a direct connected thruster which could produce tremendous thrust. Because of its high-thrust and high levels of acceleration, normal pilots could not safely exploit the capabilities of the Gullinbursti.
Notable, the Gullinbursti integrates a quasi-psycommu system into its frame, nicknamed Shaman Frame, which makes it more responsive to pilot's controlling. Also, its main camera is the monoeye sensor on it chest, the head is merely used for a decoy.
- Vulcan Gun
- Beam Saber
- Beam Rifle
- A specialized high-power beam rifle designed for the Gullinbursti, it is the most powerful beam-type weapon of the suit.
- A conventional solid shield attached to the forearm. It is equipped with three detachable beam sabers.
Two Gullinbursti units exist and both of them fell to the hands of the AEUG after the Oakland Base is captured. Unit 1 was refurbished as the MSW-004 Gundam ［Kestrel］ after the Titans had already moved their forces to space, leaving behind the unit. Unit 1 was captured intact by the AEUG and continued with testing the prototype on board the Anaheim Electronics (AE) La Vie en Rose-class dock ship, Rosa Gigantia.
Unit 2 was operated as a test bed for the development of new machines in Granada. It was deployed shortly after the First Neo Zeon War to the Salamis Kai class Delphi with Yohn Juliana serving as its pilot.
- It is named after Gullinbursti, a boar in Norse mythology.
