RMS-141 Xeku Eins

When the Earth Federation Forces captured the Pezun asteroid base towards the end of the One Year War, they unearthed a treasure trove of new state-of-the-art mobile suit schematics that the Principality of Zeon were developing. One of the Zeonic designs discovered at Pezun in the five years following the One Year War was the "X Series" mobile suit development project. When the "X Series" data was discovered it as handed over to the lunar-based mobile suit construction firm, Anaheim Electronics, where the data was redesigned into the RMS-141 Xeku Eins (Eins being the German word for "one") and several units were built and sent to the Pezun asteroid for test piloting.

On January 25, Universal Century 0088 the Instructor Corp stationed at Pezun rebelled against the pro-AEUG leadership, and took control of the asteroid base, forming the New Desides. The Xeku Eins would serve as the mainstay grunt unit of the New Desides. The Xeku Eins's frame design allows the unit to be easily re-configured to fit different mission roles, with three separate configuration types available. In terms of performance, the Xeku Eins was not a very high-performance unit, as most of the unit's dedication was to housing a larger generator, giving it much higher power output compared to other mobile suits of the time. Another advance of the Xeku Eins was the sturdy moveable frame concept pioneered by the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II, which was useful for bearing the considerably heavy burdens of some of the Xeku Eins's weapon loadouts.

All of the Xeku Eins units fielded by the New Desides were destroyed during the battle for Aires City, on the surface of Earth's moon, leaving the remaining New Desides forces with a serious shortage of manpower.

RMS-141 Xeku Eins Configuration Type One

RMS-141 Xeku Eins Type One

The Xeku Eins's first configuration was built around excelling in basic close combat. Armed with a beam rifle with a built-in grenade launcher the Xeku Eins was decently armed, but without a shield it was less armored then the other Xeku Eins configurations. It was also quicker, lighter, and had better acceleration due to its lighter loadout. The Xeku Eins Type One was also designed for increased operation time, with four spare propellant tanks, two each stored on the underside of both shoulders where the shield would normally mount.

RMS-141 Xeku Eins Configuration Type Two

RMS-141 Xeku Eins Type Two

The Xeku Eins's second configuration type was built to play the role of a long-range sniper and bombardment unit. With a very powerful beam smartgun, and a sophisticated disk radome sensor unit mounted on the multi-pourpose latches over the right shoulder, the Xeku Eins Type Two was a very accurate unit and devastating unit. But in close range situations the Xeku Eins Type Two was woefully underequipped, relegating it to just a fire-support unit.

RMS-141 Xeku Eins Configuration Type Three

RMS-141 Xeku Eins Type Three

The Xeku Eins's third configuration is designed as a close to mid-ranged heavy assault unit. With two heavy shields placed over each shoulder, the Xeku Eins Type Three is better defended then other types, but also more heavily armed. A clay bazooka is stored on the right shoulder shield of the Xeku Eins Type Three, with two additional clay bazooka magazines, each holding five rounds, stored on the left shoulder shield. the Xeku Eins Type Three also has a drum-fed machinegun. The ammunition for the machinegun is stored in the two large white drums mounted over the shoulders, each holding 6,000 rounds.(according to mark simmons) The Xeku Eins Type Three also featured four beam sabers as opposed to the standard two. However, with such a heavy weapons load out the Xeku Eins Type Three was slower than the other Xeku Eins configurations.

RMS-142 Xeku Zwei

RMS-142 Xeku Zwei.

The RMS-142 Xeku Zwei was a prototype attack use mobile suit fielded by the New Desides in the Gundam photo-novel Gundam Sentinel.

The RMS-142 Xeku Zwei was an incredibly powerful mobile suit piloted by New Desides pilot Josh Offshore. While it is unknown whether the Xeku Zwei ("Zwei" being the German word for "two") is a brand new model mobile suit all-together, or just a very heavily and extensively modified RMS-141 Xeku Eins, the Xeku Zwei still manages to be far superior to the Xeku Eins. But the Xeku Zwei did not achieve its performance by incorporating newer more advanced technology, instead it did so by just adding excessive amounts of many basic componants.

With vast amounts of extra armor all over its body, the Xeku Zwei is very well protected from the attacks of its opponents. But all this extra armor is incredibly bulky and heavy so as a result the Xeku Zwei is over double the weight of the Xeku Eins. To overcome the maneverability and speed issues the heavy armor presents the Xeku Zwei is equipped with large numbers of extra thruster arrays and many additional verniers and apogee motors, giving it remarkably good speed and acceleration for its size.

In order to deal with Taskforce Alpha's advanced mobile suit forces the Xeku Zwei was incredibly heavily armed. Installed in the front skirt armor the Xeku Zwei had three micromissile pods, each holding eighteen missiles. Six panzer faust rocket-propelled grenades (nicknamed "clubs") were stored in the sides of the top backpack booster unit. A powerful and highly accurate beam smartrifle could be held in one hand, with the disk radome sensor used to target the weapon built into the left side of the front skirt armor. In the other hand a drum-fed 120 mm machinegun could be used, with four large ammunition drums stored on the re-designed multi-pourpose latches over each of the shoulders. For use in close and melee range combat, the Xeku Zwei featured two head-mounted 60 mm vulcan guns, and two beam sabers mounted in recharge racks on the top of upper backpack booster unit.

As if the staggering amounts of weaponry were not enough, the Xeku Zwei featured a nifty gimmick. It had four additional smaller sub-arms, mounted on the sides of its normal arms and shoulder armor, giving the pilot the ability to juggle between its weapons compliment with ease, or use many different weapons simultaneously.

Using the Xeku Zwei, Josh Offshore is able to easily beat back the few remaining members of Taskforce Alpha to buy time for the AMA-100 Zodiac to make its move. Able to keep Ryu Roots in the MSA-0011 S Gundam at bay, Josh Offshore was soundly defeated when S Gundam's ALICE artificial intelligence computer took control of the unit, and the Xeku Zwei was destroyed when it burned up during atmospheric re-entry.
