Ricardo Marcenas (Rikarudo Māsenasu リカルド・マーセナス) is a fictional character from the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn series. Supported by the liberal group of the conservative earth federation government, he became the first prime minister of the Earth Federal Government.

HistoryEdit

Born in America but he is raised in the midst of traveling to different countries. He eventually rose to becoming prime minister of the Earth Federation. At the beginning of the Universal Century, Ricardo gave a speech to all of humanity, in both Earth and space, at the Island 2 type colony, Laplace. But he was interrupted when terrorists destroyed the colony, sucking Ricardo and everyone else into space. This became known as the "Laplace terror incident", in which a young Syam Vist was involved. In truth, Ricardo Marcenas was killed off in a scheme devised by his own son, Georges Marcenas, who would go on to become the Earth Federation's third prime minister. Supposedly, this was due to ideological conflict that earned him the hatred of extreme rightists. Yet even with Ricardo dead, his family carried on with political careers in the Federation.
