The Rommel Corps is faction introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ.

Overview

The Rommel Corps is a renegade group of Zeon forces led by Desert Rommel, left over from the One Year War. These Zeon remnants engaged in guerrilla activity against the Earth Federation army in Africa, all the while stealing weapons and materials from nearby federal military bases. Despite fielding obsolete Mobile Suits, Rommel's mastery over desert warfare made his force a dangerous opponent.

History

During the First Neo Zeon War the group attacked the AEUG's Gundam Team and initially held the advantage. However, the Gundam Team eventually reversed the advantage and the corps was destroyed.
