The Star Winning Gundam is a mobile suit from the anime series Gundam Build Fighters Try. It is an upgrade of the SD-237 Winning Gundam and is built and piloted by Fumina Hoshino.

Technology & Combat Characteristics

A transformable support mobile suit like its predecessor, the Star Winning Gundam is superior in many ways. Its backpack mounts various remote controlled weaponry and this grants the Star Winning Gundam increased effectiveness in dealing damage. As a result, it has better individual fighting capability and this fixes the flaw with the Winning Gundam which is too support oriented. As for its transformation capability, the Star Winning Gundam can not only transform into a Core Fighter or a Core Booster, but also into a Mega Core Booster. Like the Winning Gundam, the head of Star Winning Gundam can transform into a Core Fighter. When the head combines with the rest of the body, sans the backpack, the Star WInning Gundam can transform into a Core Booster. Adding the backpack parts to the Core Booster will change it into the Mega Core Booster.

Armaments

  • Beam Machine Gun
The main handheld ranged weaponry of the Star Winning Gundam's SD Gundam mode, the beam machine gun is also equipped with a solid blade and can change into Mega Blade Mode for close combat. In Core Booster form, the beam machine gun is split up, with the main gun portion mounted on the unit's bottom-right, with the solid blade on its bottom-left.
  • Mega Blade Mode
The close combat form of the beam machine gun, the solid blade stored at the back of the gun is now attached to the front. This also serve as the suit's main melee weapon.
  • Blade Funnel
Mounted on the backpack, the pair of remotely-controlled Blade Funnels has two main uses: side boosters-cum-wing stabilizers when flying in SD Gundam mode and in Mega Core Booster modes, and as melee combat weapons capable of splitting enemy beam attacks using the generated beam blades. Each of the funnels also has a Beam Shield equipped which can be deployed remotely on its own.
  • Beam Shield
Mounted on the funnels, the beam shields are also remote controlled and they can combine to generate a beam shuriken for close combat or to immobilize an enemy unit to an object such as an asteroid, allowing another comrade to finish it off.
