OZ splits into two factions, one are the followers the rules of Romefeller Foundation, and the other one Treize Faction, which opposes Treize's confinement and the use of mobile dolls. The Romefeller Foundation started operation Nova which is large scale of mobile dolls Virgo sent to Earth to eliminate the Treize Faction. The Treize Faction used Aries to take down the Virgos but their planet defensors protected them from Aries attacks making the battle easy for the Romefeller Foundation to destroy the Treize Faction. Also, the Romefeller Foundation has finally captured Quatre and Wing Gundam Zero as well as Heero with the Mercurius and what remains of the Vayeate back to lunar base. The Treize Faction rescues Heero, Quatre, and the five engineers. The five engineers mentions that Wing Zero contains the Zero System, which increases the skills of a pilot but takes their will away.

So, an OZ soldier named Trant Clark, who works under cover for Romefeller Foundation to gather information on the Treize Faction has the five engineers and his men test abilities of the Zero System and the Wing Gundam Zero, although Tubarov had ordered him to destroy the Wing Zero. Gathering all the information Trant needs, he ordered his unit to attack the Treize Faction's hideout and plans to capture the Gundam pilots Heero and Quatre. Heero is placed inside Wing Gundam Zero and begins the simulation. The Zero System begins to mess with Heero's mind, and he believes OZ and the scientists to be his enemies. which causes him to activate Wing Zero.

Quatre steals the Mercurius to stop Heero and Wing Zero and is able to get him out of Wing Zero's cockpit. Both escape the the Treize Faction hideout at lunar base and head towards Earth. The damaged Mercurius explodes and causes severe damage to the lunar base, but fails to destroy the Wing Zero.
