Trial is a unique system that was designed to disable enemy mobile units to pass judgment upon pilots deemed unworthy.

Description & Characteristics
The system was designed to generate a strong pulse wave that disable/paralyze any mobile suit (or mobile armor) that's utilizing Veda without Celestial Being's permission. Should an enemy manage to steal CB MS technology and/or replicate one, their technology is deeply tied to Veda (a networked system for MS system controls and tactical support) and Trial was designed to prevent Gundams and/or CB MS tech being misused by the wrong hands. Trial can only be activated by those who can use quantum (brain)waves, this can be achieved by a Veda-approved Innovade or a Haro (Hanaya) linked with Veda and the cockpit of their Gundam. When activated, the cockpit GUI would turn red, showing the words TRIAL with holographic red system screens throughout the cockpit. The user must be constantly linked with Veda to continue the duration of Trial, should the connection with Veda be severed, Trial deactivates and all disabled units are capable of returning to combat. The system is most effective against Innovators and their mobile suits as they utilize Veda for combat logistics and support; it's unclear if A-Laws' MS and MA units are susceptible to Trial because it was mentioned they also utilize Veda, but never specified in what capacity. Trial is also the only technology that wasn't copied and/or reverse-engineered by Innovators nor ESF. Trial seems only capable to be utilized by Gundam Meister Tieria Erde and Gundam Meister 874/Hanayo.
History
The Trial System made its debut against Team Trinity after the latter was just retreating from a heated battle with Union ace Graham Aker. While fighting the Thrones Eins and Drei, Tieria Erde, piloting the Virtue, ejected the armor and revealed the GN-004 Gundam Nadleeh. Seeing now that the Trinitys' had stolen sensetive data from Veda, Tieria/Nadleeh judged the Trinitys unfit to be Gundam Meisters and activated the Trial System, paralyzing Eins and Drei, although Zwei was out of Trial's range while fighting GN-001 Gundam Exia. Tieria was about to execute the false Meisters when his link to Veda was forcibly severed by Ribbons Almark.[1]
Trial would not be used again for over four years, as the system was useless without direct access to Veda. Nevertheless, Celestial Being installed the System on the GN-009 Seraphim Gundam. Trial wasn't used until the battle at L2 when Tieria merged his consciousness with Veda. Seraphim was then able to use the Trial Field to disable the Innovators' mobile suits until the unit was shot down by Ribbons in his CB-0000G/C Reborns Gundam, which operated on its own stand alone OS.[2]
