The Command ZAKU CCI is a Mobile Suit Variation from the series Gundam SEED Destiny.

Technology & Combat Characteristics

Although designed for a non-combat role, this ZAKU variation nevertheless carries the same four grenades mounted on the other suits of the series. Otherwise there are no weapons used by this suit.

System Features

Equipped with the large EX-R4 Command Wizard pack, the Command ZAKU CCI mounts numerous sensor and communications antennae, and replaces the shoulder shield with a large dish antenna. In addition, it carries an antenna rifle, which uses the frame of the standard beam assault rifle but replaces the barrel and battery clip with additional antennae.

Besides these additions, the base ZGMF-1000 ZAKU Warrior is equipped with an upgraded drive system and avionics.

History

When ZAFT introduced its "New Millennium" series of ZAKU mobile suits, it created these suits with the ability to mount Wizard Packs to adapt to various combat situations. Additionally, several Wizard Packs were built to grant adapt a ZAKU to non-combat roles. One such ZAKU variation is the limited production Command ZAKU CCI (Command, Control and Information), which drops the "F" (standing for "Fighter") from the model number to signify its non-combat role. Due to this fact, this ZAKU configuration is accompanied by an escort of two regular mobile suits when operating.

At least one Command ZAKU CCI was known to be used in CE 73 during battle in the Republic of East Asia. This suit, while scouting the forest, was destroyed, along with two other ZAKUs accompanying it, by Lukas O'Donnell and Xist Elves.
