Gawain Oakley (ガウェイン・オークリー) is a character that appears in the TV anime Gundam Build Fighters.
History[]
Gawain was born in Bludenz, Austria. He was the main fighter of team "Nemesis" which is based in Finland. Since the 5th Gunpla Battle Tournament, he has competed as Nemesis' top fighter and has represented Austria in the world tournaments. Although he has world-class abilities, he loses his position when he is completely defeated in a mock battle with Aila Jyrkiäinen.
In "Gundam Build Fighters: GM's Counterattack", he is fired from Nemesis after his complete defeat by Aila, so he turns to the Gunpla Mafia. At the same time, it is revealed that he is quite narcissistic and has a sense of bad taste. He is defeated by Ricardo Fellini and arrested along with the other members.
Trivia[]
- Gawain Oakley shares a last name with another ace pilot, Sting Oakley. Both were leading men on teams, who got overshadowed by more suitable female ace pilots, Aila Jyrkiäinen and Stella Loussier respectively.
